After more than two years of disheartening online dating, Charlotte Kullen resolved to spend less time pursuing men and more time pursuing her hobbies. She plunged into tennis, running, sailing, horseback riding, fitness boot camp and scuba diving classes, assuming that somewhere between the sit-ups and the strapping on of fins she might meet some eligible prospects.

I’m right here.
not that anybody cares.
Take the diving course, then go diving!
women don’t really try hard enough. There is a chick-fillet I eat lunch at because it is full of office women on their lunch break. If one wants a date with me, all she has to do is to come sit with me at lunch. I am that easy.
But women are too embarrassed to tell their girlfriends that they met a guy this way.
I think it say's she's 34, don't think to many of those twenty something college students are into the long term thing with a 30 something.
As is well known around FR, I’m heavily involved in the Boy Scouts. The BSA has a program (with it’s traditional membership standards otherwise) that is for both young men and young women from the ages of 14 to 21. It’s a cliche that the young women tend to become the leaders more than the boys. I have to wonder if there’s such a heavy emphasis these days on emphasizing girls achievements in schools these days that the boys affect not to care because there’s a bias against them.
Obviously she’s taking the wrong classes. She needs to take LAYING ON THE SOFA AND FARTING 101. It’ll be filled with men.
LAYING ON THE SOFA AND FARTING 101

I’ve got a masters in that ;)
I graduated from an engineering school 20 years ago with a degree in mathematics, I would estimate that about 75% of the students were males.
If a gal wants to meet guys, why not buy a gun and go out to the old shooting range?
“sexual harassment”, dude. It’s a bitch and it’s for real, believe me, I know, and I’m telling my pals this week I’m living in 1984. Been there, am there!
A woman must have written this sentence.
How many women graduated? How many men graduated? If there is a much smaller pool of women students, does the fact that a higher proportion graduated on time really matter?
The bottom line is:
Men like women who like men.
That is why the gals who enjoy hanging out in the mail room or watching football seem to have the guys hovering around her.
If a woman doesn’t really LIKE guys for what they are, unless the woman is a knockout physically, guys can sense that and aren’t going to engage her.
But if she really wants to meet men she could just buy a "Harley".
I’m in post doc myself. The advanced course work includes scratching and beer balancing.
I can’t believe I’m the first with this but...
ALL US GOOD ONES ARE FREEPING~!!
:)
If you saw the way some women run, you'd understand why they might need instruction.
Dang. How come my community course guide doesn’t have that course?
I have worked ten years as an engineer. I have worked with maybe a handful of women engineers, maybe 6 to 10. Of those maybe half were licensed. Of those maybe 2 were native born American women.
One was fired because she could not do field worked and was a lousy estimator.

Uh no. Most guys would engage a tree stump if it had a knot hole. “Ah, you’re the quiet type, I like that. You grew up around here? Nice set of roots you got there...”
