LOS ANGELES Paris Hilton was released from a Los Angeles County jail early Thursday after only serving a few days of her more than three-week sentence for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. The 26-year-old hotel heiress checked into the Century Regional Detention Facility in suburban Los Angeles just after 11:30 p.m. Sunday and was expected to serve 23 days. She was sent home early Thursday fitted with an ankle bracelet and must remain confined to her home for 40 days, according to sheriffs spokesman Steve Whitmore.

“She was not eating or sleeping. Three days without those and it could spell trouble.”

It is sarcasm for me, but that is a news story from somewhere else if you can believe it. lol.

Point taken but you seem to paint with a broad-brush. A good many of us do not hold these people up for admiration and will not watch their movies or shows. I often wonder if popular culture is being driven by TV or if TV is driven by popular culture.

Actually all this does is give Martha more respect from the community since she paid the price.

OK, finally this idiot saga becomes important to me. Something about the rule of law and equality under the law is now in play. I don't mind that she is wealthy, has the ability to live in a manner I cannot afford, or that she inhabits a social class I can never aspire to. She can pay for it. However, now she is part of a different legal caste and that does bother me. This new American aristocracy is as dangerous as the British nobility our founding fathers rejected. Their pronouncements and authority on political, social and environmental issues about which they have no particular competence are irritating enough but this instance gives proof to the common impression that they are well above the law.

Paris won’t even be able to walk from one end of her house to the other with those restrictions.

there will be one less bimbo to waste MSM time on-the media spends more time covering these littl twits than something important like convicted felons getting amnesty under the kennedy abomination Your getting way too stirred up over someone who you consider to be a waste of the MSM's "valuable" time, and then you end up saying almost the same thing as me which was having a real criminal take her space in the county jail. Actually it can be two criminals since she had her own cell that was made for two.

Now I see the Reverend Al Sharpton is all upset about her release. If Sharpton is against it, I’m all for it!

Right on the mark with your comments. I’ll watch a movie or show on T.V. to be entertained. I do not put these people up onto a pedestal.

More likely. It’s not like it was a real lock up either. Small facility called the “special needs unit”. Now they need to disinfect every square inch of that facility.
