Parents should teach their kids manners, like don’t annoy people by yelling and screaming, don’t pick your nose at the table, and other valuable lessons. But people really need to be more tolerant of annoying people. It’s not necessary to file complaints with the authorities every time someone annoys them.
>>>>Its not necessary to file complaints with the authorities every time someone annoys them.<<<<
On the news it was indicated that this has been tolerated for a long time before anything was even said to the parents. After the parents conveyed a screw you and deal with it attitude, the neighbors had no choice but to invole the authorities.
So screw them.
I just saw this on the news 30 seconds ago.
Well, I suppose. It’s hard to make a judgement without hearing it myself. But I’ve tolerated a lot of noise from my neighbors. Their dogs have been barking the whole time I’ve been posting. The mother doesn’t scream at the kids and dogs all day like she used to, so that’s a blessing. (Come to think of it, I haven’t seen or heard her in a couple years. I hope they didn’t sacrifice her in one of their rituals.) She used to scream at the dogs every time they barked, which only made matters worse. Then she’d scream at the kids to make the dogs be quiet, so they’d start screaming at the dogs. I can’t imagine how loud and persistant it would have to get before I’d try to get them arrested.
The report also said that they were issued several warnings from the police, I guess they’re trying the Paris Hilton approach.
They certainly sound like bad neighbors. Maybe I’m a little more tolerant because my annoying neighbors also have their good points. They’re friendly. They welcomed us to the neighborhood when we moved here. They used to take care of our house and dog when we were away. (That’s changed, since the daughter took up devil worship.) They used to be good Catholics. I don’t know how they got to this point. But I digress. Aside from the incessant noise, they’ve been good neighbors. Maybe if they had the in-your-face-screw-you attitude this other family is reported to have, I’d be more inclined to cause trouble for them. Or maybe if I didn’t already get to know them before they got to this point...
Some kids around in the summer but not many. If it wasn't for the damned mosquitoes, this would be paradise.
Next time you go on vacation, just leave the key under the mat. We’ll take our vacation at your place. ; )
OK, just don’t leave the gas tank on the boat empty when you leave.
Okay. Should we bring our own hammocks?
The enlightened Democrap New Yorkers at it again. LOL.
Maybe they can get the Hildebeast to mediate.
After all it takes a village...
I’m afraid the pussification of Americans has taken some folks who profess distaste for tyranny.
Next thing you know, people will call the police when the neighbor's stereo is turn up too loud.
Are these the same parents who let their darlings stand/prance/wander obliviously around the grocery store aisles? The parents who are well aware of approaching shoppers, yet do nothing to instill situational awareness and good manners into their offspring? The parents who wait until other shoppers must attempt to navigate around the clueless child, before they will take action (if they do at all)?
Must be the same people who step into crosswalks without looking and/or without any consideration to motorists, confident in a pedestrian’s right-of-way. No wonder Darwin never sleeps.
It would be in your own best interest to let the local fire department know about this activity. Perhaps give a call to police as well. They're breaking laws about open burns IMO.
At the first complaint, I would have invited them over to swim, maybe some neighborly friendliness could have averted this nonsense. Once they got to know the kids, and had a good time themselves, their attitudes may have changed. One could hope, at least.
One day, I came home from work and my niece cried out, "Hi, Uncle Bob." All the kids followed suit, including two I'd never seen before.
I joined the whole lot in the pool.
My grandpa used to say that children should be seen and not heard. Gramps was wrong. Let the kids be kids.
Good neighbors make good fences. :)
Oh, also lots of deer poop.
I did once. By the time anyone came out, the fire was nearly out. Usually I just keep an eye on the fire. It’s never gotten out of control yet. Yet. LOL! Good thing we have insurance! : )
We planted a hedgerow that turned out to be trees. It’s about 15 or 20 feet high now. That helps. We left a gap halfway down the row, where I planted a couple roses beside an arched trellis. So we have a nice friendly walkway between our houses.
