She said she prefers to be called progressive. But she didn’t deny that she is liberal. The term liberal has fallen out of favor by the types of people who advocate certain changes in government and society. But they still believe in those changes.

In the third televised Democratic presidential debate, Sen. Hillary Clinton (D.-N.Y.) said she would rather be called a "modern day progressive" than a liberal.

Well, I call her a socialist power-mad bee-otch. Wonder how she'd feel about that?

"I prefer the word 'progressive,'" Clinton said...

That's because Progressive IS TO THE LEFT of LIBERAL!

“Someone who believes strongly in individual rights and freedoms, who believes that we are better as a society when we’re working together.”

Contradicts herself in the same sentance. “Working Together” for Hillary means government regulation and guidance.

She said she represents change. She might not know this, but there will be change with or without her. If she represents change, I represent whirled peas.

The term liberal has fallen out of favor

The left has a long history of hijacking words and symbols with good connotations to hide behind. Liberal used to be a good word but has been totally ruined by the left. Progressive still has its good connotations, hence the hijack. The left, normally represented by the color red, has recently hijacked the conservative's color of blue, and even worse made the conservatives out to be the reds.

The left is a snake driven by evil forces that must shed it's skin periodically. This is only made possible by the leftist MSM which goes along with it all.

I always considered a progressive to an ultra liberal. In other words progressive is further to the left than liberal. No matter what words you use they are all the same and not good for America.

Progressive? Hell no.

Hillary and her goons are straight up Stalinists.

Obama and Edwards are useful idiots: stupid but dangerous.

“That’s because Progressive IS TO THE LEFT of LIBERAL!”

Yes... Liberal is rooted in liberty and the Marxist theory of Progress is about undermining that old-fashioned concept.

So, yes, progressive is much more suited to a New left trend follower.

a totalitarian

If that means she is mired half a century in the past it is not correct. She is mired a century and a half in the past. At least she doesn't talk about enhancing the pace of societal evolution as her husband did or does.
