I pose the following questions after the whitewashing of the fact that the ringleader who took part in last week's shooting was an illegal.
Freepers why was this guy let go by not one but two judges?
Why was he in this country for 16 years as illegally?
Where the hell are Jackson and Sharpton on this one, if this had fact been 4 Whites or Police Officers, the City of Newark would be bracing for riots and ever Black Leader would be in front of a mic claiming; "No justice No Peace."
If the killers had been White, reporters would been questioning President Bush on what actions will he take to conduct a federal investigation, the Democrats would put the Congressional Black Caucus out there to tear down and blame Bush and the Department of Justice for not protecting this kids from a racist police force or (Conservative)White(Republicans). The leading Republican Candidates would be questions about the case as well, while the Democrats would be looking to score brownie points.
Unlike with the Don Imus case which received 24 news coverage for 5 days, barely a peep has been said about this case. In the Imus Case at least he did not shoot 4 people and kill 3.
Finally, Where are those who called us Conservatives "racist," for opposing amnesty for illegals?
These were good kids from the right side of the tracks either in College or looking to go to College, but because of the failure of local, state and federal government, 3 will not realize that dream.
The shootings and the resulting deaths shows that the press will simply bury a story when it does not fit its template, so it will not be covered outside of a few soundbites.
No news coverage at all.

Two judges -— and this illegal had been before one of them before. Since his lawyer was the one who declared him “undocumented” — did the lawyer not tell this judge that fact on the prior offence?

However, as I've thought about it further, I'm glad that the right reverends haven't shown up to do their thing. They aggravate the life out of me every time they incite unrest. I would love to believe that they have finally learned how not to act, but I fear that the very next time the media reports on a white killing a black that it will be business as usual.

If a white guy had been arrested for the same crimes, he would likely have made bail. That's not the issue here. The issue is that as an illegal facing deportation, it was pretty close to a foregone conclusion that he would skip, and he should have been held without bail.

Just molesting the children Americans wouldn't molest.
There's no good answer for that one. He might have stayed below the radar for 15 of those 16 years, but once caught and in custody for a serious crime, he should never have been granted bail. Aren't judges supposed to consider risk of flight? Isn't there abundant empirical evidence that illegals released on bail don't show up for trial? "Dog" Chapman can't track down all of them.

Honestly, I haven't heard from either of them in a few years. I don't know much about Newark Mayor Cory Booker, other than that he's black and a Democrat, but in this case, he's acted sanely and responsibly.
Sharpton, Jackson or any other rabble-rousers would have get involved over the mayor's strenuous objections, which wouldn't do them or the community any good. They might not give two s---s about the community, but the first part is a calculation they can make without pencil or paper.

If four students had been lined up and shot execution-style by four police officers, there would be a MASSIVE outcry -- and should be. If they'd been four Anglo punks instead of four Latino punks, there would probably have been a knee-jerk reaction, but the likely outcome would have been the same as it is.

I have to wonder what news sources you're following. It's the #2 story on CNN's US page, despite the fact that the story is from Friday and there have been no developments in the case over the weekend. Google News has 589 articles from August 10 alone.
It's a front-page story in today's New York Times. I don't watch TV news every day -- I usually prefer my news online -- but I haven't seen any newscast in the last several days that didn't include an update. And that in spite of a pretty busy news environment, for a weekend, with the ongoing mine disaster, damage to the Shuttle, and the death of Merv Griffin.

Yes, unfortunately. I’m afraid that hispanics and asians are a lot more prejudiced against blacks than are whites.
No news coverage at all in that case as well, I think the only reason it did get the coverage it did is in part because they were repeat offenders.
Hispanics are a mixture of native american and european. Some have very little native american blood, and some have little or no european blood. There’s a spectrum, in other words.
The true definition of the word “hispanic” is anyone from spain/portugal, or native speaker of those languages. But that’s not the way americans use the word.
Liberals are programmed to react to events with certain prescribed templates, most frequently those that are driven by victimhood. When the templates clash and members of a minority group become the victims of another minority group (particularly one that liberals are favoring at the moment), liberals are conflicted. The result is usually silence.
Well I sure wish I had answers to your questions. I admire Mayor Booker for stepping up and showing righteous anger over these murders and rapes. Rather curious as to where Jesse and Al are. Why weren’t they at the funerals? Where are the press conferences they so dearly love?
Evil doesn’t have a race or color. The judges who let him go are your average judicial panderers. I’m waiting to see what Mr. Illegal rapist/murderer gets for a sentence this time. If we’re lucky, he’ll hang himself in jail.
