They may not have to. Any NFL team that takes him on would be in for a PR nightmare.

By D. ORLANDO LEDBETTER, BILL RANKIN
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Published on: 08/14/07

Michael Vick’s attorneys are engaged in plea negotiations with federal prosecutors and the Falcons quarterback could reach an agreement before new dogfighting charges are handed down next week, according to a person with knowledge of the negotiations.

Sorry, premature post above.

Considering all of his “buddies” have made a deal to testify against him, there’s really nothing else for him to do.

“And any plea will require he not only admit guilt, but he will have to detail in open court exactly what he did.”

But only to the charges he will plea to. If no plea to the conspiracy charges, no allocution

Vick should be made to crawl on all fours with a dog lease during NFL games.

90% + 5% = 95%, so that means 5% just die in prison or escape?

It would be a huge waste to have let his buddies deal and not to fry him.

I can only hope that where ever he goes they have a large PETA chapter and greet him with the same love given to Pedophiles.

I’ve been there, Purple. There’s nowhere nearby to set one up, not even an hibachi. It’s a small street surrounded by businesses and barbed wire fences and no sidewalks...

Keep in mind Ray wasn’t convicted of murder, he was convicted of obstruction of justice. Nobody really had the good on him for a murder, the DA got big eyes and went after a charge his evidence couldn’t support. They seem to have the goods on Vick. With the gambling thing in there it’ll be easy for the league to suspend Vick for at least a full season, maybe more. While there’s other things that bring the press it’s always the gambling that freaks out the league bosses most, heck the NFL won’t even let Las Vegas advertise during their games.

* - 100% indicted
* - 90% plea out
* - Of the remaining 10%, 95% of those are convicted

Brain working faster than fingers.

Who is Jamel Lewis? I think you have him confused with a different Lewis.

The public perception of the case still should have sent shivers through the NFL and commenced to booting Lewis out of the league. He was still with a wrong crowd in which events could have easily turned for the worse.

I heard on the radio that the deal WAS that he plead guilty to the dogfighting and existing charges, OR face new charges. They must have a lot on this guy.

Innocent until proven guilty, but it's looking mucho bad for Senor Vick.
