If Ray Lewis can get away with murder and still play, then they’re going to let Vick play.
____________

The case against Ray Lewis had holes even stoner Jamal Lewis could run through. We’ll see about Vick.

Lawyer probably advised Vick to plea No Contest, get the sentence over and done with, and maybe some desperate loser team will want him in 2008? My 2 cents worth -

Who is Jamel Lewis?

He was the running back for the Ravens (now with the Browns). Ray Lewis is the LB. (No relation between the two) Jamal was busted for selling coke and spent a few months in federal prison.

501 Front St. Norfolk is right on the water.

A fleet of pleasurecraft grilling can create quite a smell.

He is no doubt seeking a plea where he will face punishment but can still play football. Hey, I know!! He can play football, but not wearing any pads. In addition, when he is on the sideline he is not allowed to sit on the bench. Instead he has to sit in a pen with two hungry pitbulls.

if they allow Jamel Lewis back they have to allow him back.

“Jamal was busted for selling coke and spent a few months in federal prison.”

Jamal was busted for using his cell phone to set up a deal. He spent time during an off-season.

It’s intertesting that Vick never - NEVER - asserted his innocence.

Well there IS that little Presumption thing.

Jamal (not Jamel) is the former Ravens, now Cleveland, running back who spent some of off season a couple of years ago for being the middle man in a marijuana deal.

Dogfighting is so low class. Now, cockfighting, that’s a gentleman’s sport!

The case itself is irrelevant. Public pressure over the case forced the leagues to crack down on players' off-the-field behavior. Vick is a warning shot across the bow of professional sports stars everywhere. They're going to let him play, but a message has been sent: You hang out with your loser friends and get in trouble, you're going to be out of a job and contract.

Any NFL team that takes him on would be in for a PR nightmare.

got that right. activists would picket the teams facility and stadium, the NFL corporate offices in New York, any playoff games, and perhaps road games.

The NFL has spent BILLIONS ‘branding’. No way they risk it.

How about in opposition to the Duke lacrosse players who from day one accerted their innocence?

The presumption thang is for the trail.

There are a lot of people involved with dog fighting that are not particularly mild mannered and if they even suspect Vick is talking, they’ll put contracts out on him in a flash... if they haven’t already done so.

I remember seeing some issues of “Grit ‘N Steel” (the thinking man’s guide to cockfighting) with the slogan, “The Sport of Kings” on the cover.
