I Peter 5:10

But the God of all grace,
who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus,
after that ye have suffered a while,
make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

Heavenly Father,

We praise You, Father, our Bread of Life, for nourishing us with Your Word, and with the strength that we need in order to do Your work. We thank You, Light of the World for leading us out of darkness and showing us the way of salvation. We praise You, Good Shepherd for gently leading us back on the paths of righteousness when we stray. We glorify You, for You are The Way, The Truth, and The Life and You show us the way to life eternal in the heavenly home you are preparing for us. We bow before You, the great I AM, for You alone are worthy to receive honor, glory, and blessing.

Father, please forgive the sins of our nation, and help us to return to You as the prodigal son returned to his father. Help us to present to You broken and contrite hearts, Lord, and let our tears of sorrow water the seeds of revival in America. Cleanse us, renew us, and breathe new life into this nation, so that we may honor You and walk in Your ways.

We pray, Merciful Father, that You would lead us out of the storms that surround us. Shield us from acts of terror and those who hate us because we love You. Defend us with Your heavenly armies, Lord, and help us not to live in fear of what man may do to us. You are mighty and omnipotent, God of our strength, and we pray for You to arise and scatter those who seek the ruin of America. Please give wisdom to all our military men and women who defend us and other nations, and let Your angels surround them.

Father, we pray that the peace that passes all understanding would be present in President Bush’s heart, and that it would keep his mind focused on You and Your truths. We pray that he would cast all his cares upon You, for You care for him. Let him not be afraid, Lord, for You make him dwell in safety. You supply all his need according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Help him to be strong in You, our Lord, and in the power of Your might. Let him have great peace because he loves You and Your laws, Lord, and let nothing offend him. May You carry all the burdens of the Presidency for him, and may his heart not be troubled. Make him perfect; established, strengthened, and settled in You. Thank You for giving him Your peace and for all the gentle whisperings of the Holy Spirit that tell him of Your will. Thank You for allowing us to have a leader who is not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Great is Your faithfulness, Lord. We are blessed by Your presence in our lives. Help us in turn to be blessings to others, that our lives may be our gift to You. Accept these humble prayers in the Name of our Beautiful Savior, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

AMEN SISTER AND GRACE TO ALL CHRISTIAN PATRIOTS!

“And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it
not.”
- Mark 15:23

A golden truth is couched in the fact that the Saviour put the myrrhed
wine-cup from his lips. On the heights of heaven the Son of God stood of
old, and as he looked down upon our globe he measured the long descent to
the utmost depths of human misery; he cast up the sum total of all the
agonies which expiation would require, and abated not a jot. He solemnly
determined that to offer a sufficient atoning sacrifice he must go the
whole way, from the highest to the lowest, from the throne of highest
glory to the cross of deepest woe. This myrrhed cup, with its soporific
influence, would have stayed him within a little of the utmost limit of
misery, therefore he refused it. He would not stop short of all he had
undertaken to suffer for his people. Ah, how many of us have pined after
reliefs to our grief which would have been injurious to us! Reader, did
you never pray for a discharge from hard service or suffering with a
petulant and wilful eagerness? Providence has taken from you the desire of
your eyes with a stroke. Say, Christian, if it had been said, “If you so
desire it, that loved one of yours shall live, but God will be
dishonoured,” could you have put away the temptation, and said, “Thy will
be done”? Oh, it is sweet to be able to say, “My Lord, if for other
reasons I need not suffer, yet if I can honour thee more by suffering, and
if the loss of my earthly all will bring thee glory, then so let it be. I
refuse the comfort, if it comes in the way of thine honour.
“ O that we thus walked more in the footsteps of our Lord, cheerfully
enduring trial for his sake, promptly and willingly putting away the
thought of self and comfort when it would interfere with our finishing the
work which he has given us to do.
Great grace is needed, but great grace is provided.

C.H.SPURGEON

SOLI DEO GLORIA!

Thank you for the ping and prayer.

“Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you.

For every one that asketh, receiveth: and he that seeketh findeth: and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened.”

St. Matthew 7: 7-8

Father, we gather here to seek Your wisdom and strength so that we may better ourselves and serve Your will better. Bless that Your childrenwill ask, seek for, and find all goodness and avoid evil.

This we ask through Christ Our Lord,

Amen.
