Moonbat Deserts FReeper Corner: Wk 86- Olney,MD 8-25-07: Operation Infinite FReep
August 30,2007

Posted on 08/30/2007 4:37:39 PM PDT by trooprally

The moonbats, or one moonbat and her toddler son, tried unsuccessfully to occupy our corner this week. She lasted about ten minutes before retreating to the traitors' corner.

We were busy putting up together the banners on top of the hill when a toddler approached us. I was puzzled but said "Hi" to him and looked around for a parent. She was on the sidewalk holding a sign. Looking closer I recognized the blue & white 60s era "War is not the Answer" sign, peace dove included. I told her "their" corner is on the other side but she was happy on ours. Besides she said, no one was over there. No problem she was told, but expect to be verbally engaged after we got the banners up. Her reply: That she will just ignore us and not respond. Fair enough she was told.

But I asked a couple of FReepers helping to set up to get their signs so that she didn't feel so lonely. VictoryNY and USAPrez222 quickly responded. They grabbed their signs and did their "thing". If one knows VictoryNY from the Friday night Walter Reed FReeps, you know what I mean. They stepped in front of the moonbat and started to wave and cheer for our troops.

BELOW LEFT: Moonbat trying to corral her son. BELOW RIGHT: USAPrez222 and VictoryNY doing their thing.

BELOW: After about ten minutes of trying to keep track of her wondering toddler and listening to VictoryNY, and noticing that her 'kind' were gathering on the opposite corner, she quickly "cut 'n ran" from our corner. Thinking laws are for others, she stays outside the cross walk. I guess she wanted to stay away from Cindy_True_Supporter who was jeering the moonbats. By the time she left our corner, all of our banners were up and we were on the corner waving to passing supporters and cheering our troops.

BELOW LEFT: Our moonbat lasted about ten minutes on the her corner. With the sun beating down on her toddler, and trying to keep him away from traffic, her determination to her cause waned. She also left the moonbats' corner.(BELOW LEFT)

BELOW: "He lies, They die". This moonbat is on the wrong side. She must be thinking about traitors Dingy Harry Reid and/or Ted 'hiccup' Kennedy. Of course she may have got the gender wrong and was thinking of Billary and Not-So-Nice Pelosi.

But enough of the "cut 'n run" traitors.

Our side once again out numbered the moonbats. The 12 FReepers and Lurkers in attendance today vs their 9 moonbats were Legionaire Glenn, Iwo Jima Vet, Lurker Bill and daughter, (L.B.'s daughter), Apple Blossom, BMWcyle and daughter, Cindy_True_Supporter (CTS), Sensei Ern, USAPrez222, VictoryNY, Mrs. Trooprally ([Mrs] T), and myself ([Mr] T).

BELOW LEFT: USAPrez222 setting up small flags while VictoryNY waves. BELOW RIGHT: USAPrez222, me in back ground, BMW's daughter, VictoryNY.

BELOW LEFT: L.B.'s daughter, Legionnaire Glenn and Sensei Ern on our left flank. BELOW RIGHT: Lurker Bill at the center position while his regular position is occupied. Receiving a one finger salute, Lurker Bill responded "I'm not impressed, my daughter can count to two!" We actually received a lot of one finger salutes and thumbs down today. Not sure why.

BELOW LEFT: BMWcyle and Apple Blossom enjoying the moment while Lurker Bill returns to the left flank, where most of the shade is. Legionnaire Glenn and Sensei Ern in back ground. BELOW MIDDLE: Sensei Ern enjoying a drink in the shade. While it was only in the upper 80s this morning, the humidity was oppressive. BELOW RIGHT: L. B.'s daughter also enjoying some shade and a drink.

BELOW LEFT: USAPrez222 and passing wave. BELOW RIGHT: VictoryNY and passing wave.

BELOW: Me and CTS waving to supporters.

BELOW: And I forgot, one of the moonbats brought us something to drink. We called the CDC's poison control hot line and they said to dump it where small animals won't drink it.

REMEMBER
Next Saturday, same place, Georgia Avenue, MD Rte. 97 and MD Rte. 108 in Olney

But a lot of verbal engagement in Olney is always welcome.

Smart move, but, it looks like it killed some lawn upon contact.

Actually she put it on the mulch. But come to think of it, I was wondering why there was a mass movement of worms out of the immediate area.

Thanks. Without a great group of FReepers and lurkers the Olney FReep wouldn’t be so much fun to write up.

What fun you had. Thanks for telling all of us about it.

I was waiting and wondering if they would try to change locations or take our place after the “spiffy” way we raised the flags on their corner last time. I am glad it was not a “big” problem.

I was heading out into Chesapeake Bay and totally seasick at about the time you began to set up there! YUK!

Missed you and Mrs T at the evening rally this week.

War freed the slaves, and it saved the Jews.

I can save the Iraqis, too.

I was there for that chant in NYC. *thumps up*

Did you see iMacMan while you were out to see. Hint: you had to look at the horizon to see him, not straight down into the water. :-))

Yea, we missed you. See you this week? We can talk more Friday.

Yea, the banner and similar chants sure puts a damper on the “War is not the answer” signs.

Great work as always.
Good thinking not to drink the “Kool-Aid”. I’m sure it was tainted. Stupid Libs.

I had a great time. I gave Glenn my Soldiers' Angels coin:

I was honored to be standing on the corner with a man who sixty years ago stood on the sands of Iwo Jima.

The legionnaires are a great group. They understand better than any as to why we are out there.

And thanks for becoming a regular in Olney.
