Please, let’s NOT nominate this guy, it’ll be Dole/Kemp redux

More like Goldwater/Miller--I see Mitt winning only one state: Utah. The rest will go to the Rats, along with a solid majority in the House and Senate. The next thing you know they'll be impeaching (Thomas, Scalia, Roberts and Alito) the Supreme Court justices in their way and claim that Souter is a conservative that was appointed by GHW Bush. Then will all be waist deep in taxes, with Barney Frank and Ted Kennedy promoted as the face of family values! And President Hildabeaste will claim that the future terrorist attacks that destroyed 12 of our major cities were all because of conservatives--she'll be backed up by the MSM which, at that time, will be the only media as FR and all of its membership as well as any other opposition media is jailed on sedition charges. Gasoline will be full rationed, there will be mandatory abortion programs in effect like China's, all firearms will be confiscated and rising crime will be rapid, and the only jobs available will be taken by illegal immigrants. Mitt, of course, will escape the carnage--just like he did the draft back in the 1960s.

I just looked this up, evidently chocolate or the occasional coke isn’t a no-no. Go to next to last paragraph of the piece.

Then I suppose drinking a beer or two, now and then not a no-no either?

While I am disappointed in his immigration and assault weapon stances, I admire him because of his service to this country. The No. 1 issue in my book is the Global War on Terror (GWOT) that is likely to be around for our grandchildren to win...and, on that issue, McCain stands heads above the rest. I know that he will fight and win (something that Bush apparently was unwilling to do until he finally instigated the "surge" in Iraq). The GWOT is going to be like an albatross around the neck of this nation; and if we lose it, count on you and your daughters wearing a burqa to go shopping (of course, you'll not be permitted to drive to the mall).

Mitt will win in Utah because he is a draft dodging liberal? And Hillary will take the conservative states because she is so right wing?

Methinks you better check your logic there.

It's okay to not like Mitt Romney, I don't either, but telling lies that you yourself know is a lie doesn't help anything. You think Romney would lose Idaho? Montana? Mississippi? Georgia? Alabama? Texas? South Dakota? North Dakota? South Carolina? Wyoming?

If you honestly think Romney will lose any of the states listed above, you're either dumb or a liar. That's all that can be said.

Oh and Alaska. And Kansas. And Nebraska. And a bunch of other small population states too.

I am neither and don't appreciate you calling me names (review the rules of FR). BTW, Goldwater won only 6 states when he ran for president (Arizona, and the deep South states Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisian and S.C. [due to LBJ's Civil Rights legislation] ) so it is extremely plausible that Mitt will only win one!

You got that right. An eastern establishment elitist, in my book. And he looks like a dork running with his hands so low

It's not 1964 anymore. Things are way different in the political landscape now than they were even in 1984, when Reagan won every state but Minnesota.

There is no way, whatsoever, that Hillary Clinton defeats any republican candidate in the deep south, part of the mid-West, Alaska and all that. Even if the republican candidate was caught with a dead prostitute in his bed, he'd still win frickin' Idaho.

You attack meandog like this yet, you support someone (Ron Paul) who barely has a chance of winning dog catcher in a national election.

I ain’t attacking him, I’m attacking what he wrote. Suggesting the only state Romney would win is Utah is simply false.

By the way, how the hell is this relevent? You attack....yet you support RON PAUL!!!! Oh the humanity! By the way, Tancredo is my first choice, and while he may have no real chance, I'd still vote for him long before I'd vote for either Giuliani or McCain.

Good grief, man. Don't you have anything better to do than come up with weak attacks on Mitt?

For those who are interested, here's the relevant LDS scripture on the subject. The revelation is called the "Word of Wisdom".

Articles on the subject:

The Message: A Plague on the World (on illicit drug use)

“Ye Are the Temple of God”

The Sanctity of the Body

The Word of Wisdom, in its text and through further instruction from the Prophet, declares:

  1. No alcohol
  2. No tobacco
  3. No coffee or tea
  4. Moderate amounts of meat
  5. No illegal drugs or misuse of prescription drugs
  6. It encourages the use of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, etc.

Bush looks much better jogging........Romney looked like skerry in that ad. And those pics looked like he had Grecian formula in his hair - it doesn’t look natural.

I never thougt you'd post a Romney ad.

As a Marathoner I wouldn't say Mitt's running form is perfect but it is a lot better than most 60 year olds I know (including marathon runners). Wanna see some funky running check out some of the 60+ runners at a marathon. Mitt is no 20 year old but his running style is fine.

What we really need is ads of the other candidates running to compare.

On the GOP side many are overwieght or older (or just look older). I bet he's got them beat in a dead sprint or a distance run.

As for the DEM's, Oabama might take him on the track especially in distance since he is on the skinny side. Edwards, Now that would be gay!

Hilary running? AUGGGHHHH, trying to wipe the image from my mind. Stabbing eye balls now.
