U.S. officials begin crafting Iran Bomb plan

U.S. Officials Begin Crafting Iran Bombing Plan Tuesday , September 11, 2007

By James Rosen WASHINGTON —

A recent decision by German officials to withhold support for any new sanctions against Iran has pushed a broad spectrum of officials in Washington to develop potential scenarios for a military attack on the Islamic regime, FOX News confirmed Tuesday.

Germany — a pivotal player among three European nations to rein in Iran's nuclear program over the last two-and-a-half years through a mixture of diplomacy and sanctions supported by the United States — notified its allies last week that the government of Chancellor Angela Merkel refuses to support the imposition of any further sanctions against Iran that could be imposed by the U.N. Security Council.

The announcement was made at a meeting in Berlin that brought German officials together with Iran desk officers from the five member states of the Security Council. It stunned the room, according to one of several Bush administration and foreign government sources who spoke to FOX News, and left most Bush administration principals concluding that sanctions are dead.

The Germans voiced concern about the damaging effects any further sanctions on Iran would have on the German economy — and also, according to diplomats from other countries, gave the distinct impression that they would privately welcome, while publicly protesting, an American bombing campaign against Iran's nuclear facilities.

Germany's withdrawal from the allied diplomatic offensive is the latest consensus across relevant U.S. agencies and offices, including the State Department, the National Security Council and the offices of the president and vice president. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Nicholas Burns, the most ardent proponent of a diplomatic resolution to the problem of Iran's nuclear ambitions, has had his chance on the Iranian account and come up empty.

Yes, she is an East German, and therefore knows what tyranny is. I believe she is working behind the scenery w/George Bush, and a master plan to deal with Iraq is developing. I think this will be Bush’s last hurrah, as he will have no legacy at all to leave other than an unpopular war, when he leaves office. May as well leave office with a bang, if you get what I mean, and establish a legacy. Everyone knocked Israel when it attacked Iraq’s nuclear facility, and now are all glad they did. Same will happen w/George Bush. Hope he does this as who knows what would happen if a Dem, in particularly Hillary gets in. Well, actually I know what would happen, nothing.

Hit them hard, and be sure to take out the mullahs.

And all the mullah training centers, retreat centers, recreation centers . . .

Perhaps you’d consider adding a prayer to this prayer devotional thread for our Nation relative to some dreams about such things.

Unfair conditions?

Iran can say the same thing now, that its being forced to war because of sanctions. The truth is, Irans rulers are similar to Hitler. They embrace hatred and celebrate death.

The sad fact is that Democrats have virtually crippled our president, politically, and the odds are increasing that Iran will go Nuclear and kill many more than Hitler did.

The chances? Hmmmm, well....currently I'm enrolled in a 3000-level Statistics course at FAU, Boca Raton. So, I'll crunch some figures and get right back to you....

...or....

I'll just step out & say that IRAN is gonna get chopped at the knees when the NEXT Republican/Conservative takes the Office of POTUS.

Actually, right now, the Statistics in this course are a recap of just the basics [Standard Deviations, Z-scores, Median, Mode, etc.].

Let's just say that, with Mankind and Politics [yes, even This area of life can be random], there are 100's of factors that play into future decisions.
Factors that a hermit Mathmetician would be more likely than me to process and compute with.

>>>My thought, too, that Germany is doing us a favor by putting a stake through the heart of the sanctions.<<<

Makes sense... Bush had a one-on-one meeting with Merkel a couple of months ago.

Bush and Merkel : Meeting at G8 Summit 2007 (06/06/2007) http://www.polity.org.za/article.php?a_id=110550

You have to know that Iran and Iraq were discussed. It "requires a suspension of reason" to think they did not talk about strategy vs. Iran....and that is a beautifully crafted way to bring additional pressure on Iran while not riling Germany's dovish population.

Bush is a pretty brilliant strategeric thinker despite what his detractors may say. He has out strategerized Reid, Pelosi and the rest of the Democrat surrender-monkeys at every turn.

This is an issue where I think Ron Paul is right:

To paraphrase him, if Iran’s truly a threat, then obviously Israel will take care of the problem, as she’s done in the past. Israel, who has hundreds of nukes, isn’t stupid.

Meanwhile, we’ve got an $8 trillion debt, and counting. But we’re spending billions and risking our military to try to “spread democracy” to people who don’t want it.

How about spending most of that effort and money to protect our own borders for a change?
