Fred Thompson leads Giuliani by Six in new Florida Poll

Fred Thompson leads Rudy Giuliani by six points in a new poll out from Florida by InsiderAdvantage. Fred leads in the poll 27%-21%, with no one else in the GOP field even in double figures. This is huge news for Fred, because Florida will be a huge prize for the winner on January 29, 2008, just one week ahead of the Super Tuesday primaries when over 20 states will vote. Fred heads to Florida tomorrow to begin a campaign swing there. Here are the details of the poll...........

Poor ol Duncan Hunter is in last place behind Ron Paul with 1%.
I’m sure when he drops out he’ll do the right thing and endorse Fred.

Didn’t I just seem some newspaper columnist or DNC piece or something talking about how Fred Thompson’s campaign has bombed and he’s not getting his message out?

I guess they forgot to check the polls.

Fred is the only GOP candidate the DNC is actively attacking during the primaries.
That tells you something about which candidate they fear the most.

I think Fred's strategy of not announcing for so long was excellent. As he was not an announced candidate, he had nothing to lose, while the rest chewed themselves up. And the speculation was free publicity. The drawback.. fund raising.
