85 live, 30 frozen cats found in woman's home

HOWARD TOWNSHIP -- A Cass County woman is facing an animal cruelty charge after police found 85 live and 30 frozen cats in her home.
Police used a search warrant to remove the animals from the house in Howard Township.
The 59-year-old homeowner was arrested and posted bond.

What is it with these cat ladies? Every so often, you hear about them, they have a huge number of cats, they live in filthy conditionsthere must be a name for this disorder. Kitty Care-lull Syndrome.

The article doesn’t say whether the cats were abused, nor what state the frozen ones were in (other than frozen).
This seems mostly sad to me. I can see protecting cats from abuse, assuming she was, but isn’t it obvious some sort of psychological problem exists? Shouldn’t she be taken somewhere else than jail?
I dunno...
