Yes, it’s called hoarding, they take in way more than they can care for, and when they die, usually from neglect of some sort, they don’t bury them.

What is it with these cat ladies? Every so often, you hear about them, they have a huge number of cats, they live in filthy conditions—there must be a name for this disorder. Kitty Care-lull Syndrome.

The article doesn’t say whether the cats were abused, nor what state the frozen ones were in (other than frozen).
This seems mostly sad to me. I can see protecting cats from abuse, assuming she was, but isn’t it obvious some sort of psychological problem exists? Shouldn’t she be taken somewhere else than jail?
I dunno...
