MANCHESTER, N.H. Mitt Romney was in Michigan, Colorado, Arizona and Nevada and then went back to Michigan. Rudy Giuliani visited Florida, Michigan, South Carolina, Alabama, Washington and New Hampshire. John McCain went from Michigan to Iowa to New Hampshire.
But where was Fred, as in Fred Thompson?
Besides participating in his first presidential debate in Michigan last Tuesday, Thompson was missing from the campaign trail. The former Tennessee senator and star of NBC's "Law & Order" was scheduled to be in New Hampshire this weekend, but canceled.
New Hampshire voters noticed.
"He's a late entry. That will probably hurt him," said Geri Gormley, of Bow, who visited with McCain but remains uncommitted. "We're grass roots. Candidates come up and pick our brains, one on one.

“The thing about Fredheads is that no matter what Thompson does, they say it was the smart thing to do.”
And no matter what Thompson does or says, the Mittheads and RootiTooties wil come out from under the rocks to badmouth him.
But fair is fair, for everything negative you guys can provide about Fred (abortion, border, marriage, CFR, etc.) your own guys have problems that stink up the place as bad or worse.
In a game of trading gotchas, I think Fred comes out ahead.
Obviously the same place that so many here have been latley..
The Fred detractors seem to be of two minds...in one head...
Either the msm is absolutly correct and Fred is a lazy shlub not worthy of the adoration of the minions in his camp...
Or the net pundits are correct and Fred is a lazy shulb not worthy of the adoration of the minions in his camp...
Oy...
Intrade WAS great, but Americans can no langer join legally, so you are betting your predictions on Brits. Good luck with that.
Mitthead to Fredhead - Both of our guys are great. I hope Fred is not sick or something, really.
So stop with the health insinuations already...
They harm us all...
Murdock would be just fine with either Rudy or Hillary....
I pretty much agree with your comments. I do think that Thompson will have to up his public game as the primaries progress though. I’m just not ready to slam him for running his campaign his way. It’s up to him. If he screws up, it won’t be our fault.
I don’t even get how Fred is so bad on abortion and the border. He won’t create a Department of Anti-Abortion? The only ones that actually would are Huckabee and Alan Keyes.
As far as the border, he’s just being realistic. He fully believes illegals should travel back and file for citizenship or face the consequences of being illegal. Which is basically what’s happening now, just not enough. He doesn’t support automatic immunity from the law like McCain.
I disagree with him on campaign finance stuff. Hardly a deal breaker.
Well, that depends on two things. If Romney beat Rudy in some northeastern states, and Fred does well in Florida or California.
But lets hope Rudy doesn’t win.
No, I think it was only schedule conflicts.
“Intrade WAS great, but Americans can no langer join legally, so you are betting your predictions on Brits. Good luck with that.”
Really? Why can’t Americans join?
Riiiight. Intrade WAS great, back in the salad days when Fred was at 35%. No one complaining about Brits and what not then. Now he is down to 15%, and Intrade is suddenly passe.
But Fredheads, proud Fredheads,
Seeing Fred lose a little authority,
Make such multiple explanations before Free Republic,
As would make Occam weep.
“So stop with the health insinuations already...”
Isn’t this article about Fred not showing up? I said I hope it’s not because he’s sick. I really mean it. I hope he’s not sick.
Yeah, and that's worked out really well for him hasn't it? Where does McCain stand in the national level polls now, has he managed to stay in double digit territory or has he sunk to the single digits by now?
More likely he has been paying attention and Fred has him scared. The establishment mouthpieces don't like candidates who aren't on their approved list of D.C. insiders.
I'm just tired of us beating our selves up....
((;O)
This sort of thing makes me wonder about his health. Hope all is well.
The 'but' is where you pulled that statement from.
FRED IS DOOMED!!!!
(To be president, and I would not wish that on anyone...)
