A STATE bailout of the CITY public transit system?
So people in Peoria are going to pay for Chicago’s incompetence? That is WRONG!

Wait til the winter hits with home heating oil bills. The country suffers from the lack of a comprehensive energy policy, something that was on the table in the spring of 2001 - another casualty of the gotcha politics that usurped our country. We so need a change.

Conservation doesn’t get you there ... caller mentioned solar ... and the costs of nuclear and oil ... he ignores the reality is that solar is the MOST expensive and inefficient energy source to date. Yes ... we need tech ... but while tech is developing, we need sources of energy now.
