Page:123PRINCETON, NJ -- Amidst a swirl of public dissatisfaction about the Iraq war, the economy, government corruption, and with President Bush more generally, Americans went to the polls in November 2006 and voted enough Republicans out of office to give the Democrats majority control of Congress. A year later, Americans are as negative about the job Congress is doing as they were leading up to the 2006 midterm elections. And according to recent Gallup polling, Americans are distinctly negative about the Democrats handling of several front-burner policy issues.

Last year, that was enough, the press told us, to end the Republican dominance of Washington. So, will they similarly herald the end of the deomcrat's dominance of Congress?
Yeah, right! LOL!!!
Rove, you (probably unintentionally) magnificent b*stard!
I would prefer that the 2008 elections end the dominance of the corrupt, entrenched establishment (both Republican and Democrat).
It always seems to be “meet the new boss, same as the old boss”.
Better to dissolve the entire Congress and start with 535 new faces.
But we won’t hear endless news stories about how dissatisfied Americans are with Congress like we did when the GOP controlled it.
No way! My boy Congressman John Culberson does me proud! Houston, TX District 7 - GWB's daddy's old district.
No kidding. This is news?
You said a mouthful.
Bush’s fault!
Democrats, heartened by the same perceived shift, moved even FURTHER left and are generally making a complete mess of things.
Between the two, even non-political folks like my retired in-laws are talking about the Country needing another Revolution.
“Ahhm votin’ fer CHANGE!”
Yep. Looks like it worked!
Finally, a voice of reason!!
(No, I'm NOT being sarcastic!)
Nothing wrong with a “Do nothing Congress”. When you look back at the spending of the GOP congress, do nothing is not so bad. IMHO
This poll is meaningless to me. If it doesn’t ask WHY the person is disappointed or angry, it can be read any way the interpreter wants to read it.
For instance, how about asking each person WHY he is angry with the Democrats about Iraq. Is it because of their not getting us out? Or is the anger because they are insanely trying, day after day, to get us out, even when we are winning?
Which is it?
Wishful thinking though. I think it takes a constitutional convention to have this happen. Not impossible, but almost so...
Don’t stop there .. the Fed Gov needs a hard re-boot and OS 9Constitution) re-installation. Delete and scrub ALL programs that were put in the system since the installation of the original OS (the Constitution and Bill of Rights). Install a robust anti-virus and firewall that strictly keeps trojans (nanny laws) spam (illegals) and viruses (out of control bureaucracy ) out of the system
OS 9Constitution) = (Constitution)
Frankly, I think they know the answer, but are afraid someone might see it.
They want you to ASSUME (re: ASS/U/ME) it’s because we’re still there. The real answer is the dems won’t stop with the moonbat crap.
Immigration. Screwing around with American soldiers in Iraq. Behaving in general like the bunch of left-wing radicals they are.
All reasons for their unpopularity with the American public.
