I am
SO waiting for Fred to come out and say:
"The Second Amendment is not about hunting. It's about defending one's person, family, and property against attack; and it's about defending one's Constitutionally-protected freedoms against attack."
The Founders knew all too well that a government -- any government -- could become destructive of its intended end: the protection of the freedoms of the people it governed.
C'mon Fred, tell 'em IT'S NOT ABOUT HUNTING!

He probably doesn’t have a pilot’s license, either. What’s their point? Do they really thing RKBA is just a hunting issue? I don’t have any guns, currently, but I’m still pro-2nd amendment! What out-of-touch elitist Northeast liberals these press people are!!

Does our President HAVE to have a hunting licence? At least he doesn’t want to give them away to illegals.
GO FRED!!!

What a stupid article. There’s no hunting in Hollywood except for starlets.

Claiming that the 2nd Amendment is to allow hunters to have guns completely misses the point of the Amendment!

What is this fixation in some circles with trying to use hunting as a test for RKBA/2A positions? Like church attendance, hunting seems to politically serve as another stupid $12 neon sign. This vapid "connection" spawns all sorts of stupidity on the road to Des Moines.
"I have hunted varmints more than two times!"
- Romney
"Can I get me a hunting license here?"
- Kerry
I mean, egads man. It is both saddening and insulting.

It is both saddening and insulting. Saddening and insulting to us, and insulting to the Founders and the Constitution as well!
And if they're watching, I'll bet they're sad, too...

So should I expect CNN (rot and stink that it is) to now ask democrats if they have had an abortion or paid for one?

I have a pile of guns and have never once considered going hunting.
If I ever did, it would end with me standing in the forest holding a rifle looking at a dead deer with me thinking 'Okay, now what?'.
I have zero interest in hunting or shooting animals. I'd also look stupid dolled up in RealTree®.

You buy a hunting license when you go hunting.

Jon Cary shoots doves every chance he gets - wonder how many he shot in 2007 and did he enjoy them cold roasted at picnics with Teresa??

I'd also look stupid dolled up in RealTree®. Likewise -- I don't hunt these days because my friends who do hunt on my land are kind enough to drop a load of venison on my front step from time to time in appreciation of using the land.
I've gutted and butchered a couple of deer who either suicided off my back embankment or got hit by my car, and I know that feeling from the first time many years ago: "Now what?" That was an adventure.
Personally I like target practice; that's what I do most. I pray the time never comes when I have to use deadly force for personal or family protection, or against the encroachments of my own government. But I won't hesitate, if that time comes.

Their point is they are grasping at straws to try to diminish the only Conservative in the race with a chance to win.
I don't have a hunting license right now either, but you can bet your butt I have a rifle handy and a pistol within reach should the need arise.
Fred or 3rd...

Speaking of CNN and Thompson, I am reminded of the YouTube debates moderated by the Coopster. Did any of you see this from IMAO? I thought it was hilarious!

Funny... last time I shot skeet, I didnt need a license, either. Never heard of a limit on them, but they’re not all that great on the table.
