Woeful 'This Week' For Hillary: 'Clinton Team Demoralized'
New York Times/NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 12/16/2007 10:53:01 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

Worst job in America this morning: Clinton campaign staffer assigned to inform Hillary of her treatment at the hands of ABC's "This Week" panel.

From moderator George Stephanopoulos to former Gore campaign manager Donna Brazile, to the husband-wife duo of Jay Carney of Time and Elaine Shipman of ABC, to conservative sage George Will, it was a decidedly downbeat take on Hillary's fortunes.

Pundits... who cares? All the lefties I know are swooning over Hiltery! and couldn’t care less about any facts. They are orgasmic at the thought of Bill in the WH for 4 more years.

Boy I don't know what liberals you are talking to but even if you could find ten Hillary supporters I seriously doubt all (or even a majority) are "orgasmic" about her. Then again the second part of your response kind of negates your first part when you say the support for her may be based on the prospect of Bill getting back within the confines of the WH.

And if you think pundits don't matter you are sadly mistaken. The pundits can create an aura of accendence or decendence with an uncomfortable degree of success. Look at Huckabee right now. Look at opinions on the economy, the war etc. I would agree they are less important than they themselves think they are but it is wrong to downplay their influence particuarly when the media leftists are eating one of their own "Corleone" family members.

Se had this in the bag.She messed up on one debate and she has handled this very badly. She went negative on Obama,it made her look petty.I have been talking to people who like her but feel because of this she can’t handle pressure. They are leaning towards Edwards or Romney.

That's Hillary's problem in a nutshell. Most people who say they support her candidacy in reality are casting a proxy vote for Bill, not for her. The truth is she wouldn't be anywhere if she had to run for President in her own right.

And does anyone think Hillary is going to give a rip about what Bill thinks if she is elected President?

Afterwards, Big Brown delivers the Sad Hill in her big brown and ugly pant suit to light up a meeting for her in Gilford, NH!">

Then the Hill lights up the Gilford, NH Meeting with her charm and energy!

So why some of you are having just a great time on Hillary’s troubles, I hope you guys have a plan B when it comes to Obama.

Don't want to risk her winning the nomination assuming she'd never win the general. We assumed that in NY and the carpetbagger walked away with it. Cut her off at the knees and watch the GOP nominee make mince meat out of BO who debates very poorly IMHO.

I sat with my mouth wide opened. Thought Carney and his wife were there for balance. Will hit it out of the park citing her two areas of expertise (selecting AG and hillycare) and I hope that is the sound bite that resonates.

First we need to put a wooden stake through the heart of Clintonism and then we can deal with Obama. I agree he will have total support of the MSM, but I still think he’s more beatable than Shrillary AND I sure don’t want to see Shrillary having any chance at all of getting back into the WH.

Obama would not be too terribly bad if we maintain more than 40 loyal Republican senators. Any Democrat president with 60 senators and an effective majority in the House will end the Constitution as an influence on America.

If Mrs Bill is elected without 60 senators in her purse she will make heavy use of Mr. Bill for politicking around and through the Republican senators.
