“any Republican except McCain is better than Hillary/Obama.”

And don’t forget how bad Rudy is:

“Culture of life:

ABC clip:

George Will: “Do you think Roe v Wade was good constitutional law?”

Rudy Giuliani: “Yes I believe, I believe it is.”

Cnn Clip:

Announcer: “Giuliani was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial birth abortions, something Bush strongly supports.”

Rudy Giuliani : “No, I have not supported that, and I don’t see my position on that changing.”

Immigration

CNN clip:

Announcer: “Back in 1996, mayor Giuliani went to federal court to challenge new federal laws requiring the city to inform the federal government about illegal immigrants.”

Rudy Giuliani: “There isn’t a mayor or a public official in this country that’s more strongly pro immigrant than I am. Including disagreeing with President Clinton when he signed an anti-immigration legislation about two or three years ago.”

Gun control:

CNN clip

Rudy Giuliani: “I’m in favor of gun control”

Meet The Press:

Tim Russert: “How about registration of all handguns?”

Rudy Giuliani: “You know I’m in favor of that. I’ve been on your show many times.”

Gay Rights:

CNN Clip:

Announcer: “As mayor he supported civil unions, and extending health and other benefits to gay couples.”

ABC Clip: “I supported domestic partnership legislation and signed it”

Meet The Press:

Tim Russert: “So should gay people be openly allowed to serve?”

“I think people should be judged on the merits. And there should not be a specific focus on someone’s sexual orientation.”

First Amendment:

ABC Clip

Cokie Roberts: “Would you vote in the senate in favor of Mccain / Feingold?”

Rudy Giuliani: “Yes, I’m a big supporter of Mccain / Feingold. I have been for a long time.”

Party Loyalty:

ABC Clip:

Rudy Giuliani: “Frankly George, I’d like to run on all the lines. I’d like to run on the liberal line, the conservative line, I’d like to run on the democratic line if I could figure out how to do it.”

Conservative Values:

Meet The Press:

Tim Russert: “Whether it’s gays in the military, gun control, campaign finance, late term abortion - you and Hillary Clinton are in sync on those issues.”

Rudy Giuliani: “Well then maybe the other side should stop the ‘He’s part of the vast right wing conspiracy’.”

Glad the verse helped. It helped me so I thought I'd share it.

Point of correction: it's Galatians 6:9

Thanks for the correction on the chapter. I was looking right at it in my Bible but was in a hurry to get out the door to go to church. Next time I'll wait til I get home! ;-)

“Thanks to you who pinged me to this thread and those other Hunter supporters I’ve interacted with this campaign season.
I was doing at a pro-life rally and march in San Francisco Saturday, campaigning for Duncan Hunter, complete with literature distribution, and gave away some of my dwindling number of buttons and bumper stickers. T’was sad to come home to hear of the news, but at least it wasn’t for a lack of effort on our parts. We can hold our heads high.

I’ll vote for Alan Keyes here in the upcoming California primary, another candidate totally ignored by the kingmakers in the mainstream media and the Republican Party establishment. But as with my support for Duncan Hunter, I’m not going to let the media and the RINOs decide my choice for me.

Take care everybody and keep up the good fight. God bless.”

Kudos to you for your pro-life activism. It was so frustrating that many religious conservatives didn’t realize just how pro-life Duncan Hunter is.

I called radio shows to tell listeners that Hunter was just as pro-life as Huckabee, if not more so, PLUS Hunter is more conservative on all the other issues, as well.

And you certainly can hold your head very high, along with so many others, and it was worth the fight!

I hope everyone will also support Duncan Hunter’s son who will be running for his dad’s congressional seat.

God bless!

Those things are probably a little bit too simple. For instance, if you go into depth on the issues that are important to you, it will be revealing to see how long the candidate has had that position. Road to Des Moines conversions are evidence that the guy is a flipflopper and will say anything to be elected. If you took that candidate calculator 2 years ago, Hunter would have been at the top and someone else would have been in 2nd place.

Flip-flopping has been my biggest concern with Willard. I’m not sure I trust him. He’s really gonna have to work on that.

Thank you for that Tribute. It is an excellent way to show our appreciation for Congressman Duncan Hunter.

Is it too late to start the 2012 campaign?

Congressman Duncan Hunter - LIVE Thread (virtual Free Republic press Conference)

GOD BLESS DUNCAN HUNTER

I can't remember if I cried,
when I thought about its widowed bride.
Something touched me deep inside,
the day, conservatism died.

Keep the faith people! Ronald Reagan 1976 = Duncan Hunter 2008.

He’s going to be a player at the convention, and he may run for CA Governor or Senate. Heck I’d like to see him move to Arizona and take on McCain!

Great analogy, and may it be so!

Back in 1976, I was one of only 2 people out of 130 Republicans in my office who were supporting Ronald Reagan against Gerald Ford, but we kept the faith.

I will always remember in the same way being supportive of Duncan Hunter this time around.

I believe this blacklisting of Hunter is the RNC's revenge, and it goes deep, all the way to the WH.

Bump!

We're on the same page.

“but you seem to have overlooked the fact that this is a conservative website, not a GOP website.”

I think there is a communication gap here and I don’t believe it originates with me.

I am a Republican because the Republican Party is the more conservative of the two brands. If I have to hold my breath and vote for a candidate less than optimal in order to keep a lying thug of a socialist and her sexual predator consort I will. Even I however, have my limits and John McCain represents them.

That doesn’t mean my conservative credentials are any less than yours.

***That’s what I think would be the shrewd political move — carpet bag over to one of the smaller states where he could easily win guvner, like Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico. Especially a southern border state where he could clean up immigration on his own, building a border fence for that state. Next step would be the Presidency and the GOP wouldn’t be able to stop him without being covert about it.

***Yes it does. This eagerness to compromise core principles so early in the process (even during the primaries!) is a sign of a RINO. Free Republic is inundated by RINOs.

Thompson’s out too. Ron Paul’s being very quiet... The field is narrowing. You worked hard for Duncan. He’s still an important advocate. Maybe he can get that fence built. A border agent was murdered by drug smugglers. This b.s. must stop. Chertoff can’t seem to control the border. Maybe Duncan could be Homeland Security. Good idea?????

We’re certainly on the same page about Hunter being the Homeland Security guy. That’s what I’ve been saying. We could sure sleep nights!

I don’t know who will be left when I get to vote on Super Tuesday, but I won’t be voting for pro-abortion, sanctuary city Rudy or gang of 14, pro-International Criminal Court globalist McCain for sure.

And after that, I’ll focus on getting Duncan Hunter’s Marine son elected, as he is running for his dad’s seat.

I’ve been away for a bit but wanted to thank you for the pings. It’s been a pleasure being Duncan supporters with you all.

Chin up now.

I think in the years to come we’ll hear many good things about Duncan Hunter.
