Where does a Conservative go?(Vanity)
My feckless brain ^ | Me

Posted on 01/20/2008 1:18:25 AM PST by TexasMatty

As a Conservative I am lost. I will not, under any circumstances vote for John Mclame. He has sold Conservatives out. Nor will I vote for Jesus' favorite candidate Schmuckabee. I believe the most Conservative candidate is Thompson and can't help but wonder who is voting in these things. If Mclame or Schmuckabee is the nominee I can't vote. It will pain me deeply to not vote, but either of those clowns are no different from the lefty. Me question to my FRiends is.. WHAT THE HELL DO WE DO??? The situation seems rather desperate.

Huckabeee aint going to get it.

I am pulling for Romney on competance, but would hold my nose and vote for McCain. The only two candidates that I could NEVER support are Giussolini and Huckleberry.

As long as Fred is in the race, keep voting for Fred. If McLame or Socialist Huckleberry get the nomination and run against Hillary ignore them. Just spend your time focusing on your local congressional races, so we at least have a chance at a conservative House.

There is ONE good thing about a Clinton presidency...during the last one those were the BEST years for the VRWC. If you think it was fun taking down her husband, just wait till you see Hildabeast going down...hope she doesn’t cry.

Because the majority of the country is NOT conservative and there is nobody on the right articulate enough at this time to bring the ideas to the masses. That's a fact of life.

Nietzche was right in that the realists (Machiavelli) always win out over the idealists (the Greeks).

Your conservative candidate choice, unfortunately, dropped out today in CA - that man, Duncan Hunter.

Too bad either you felt, "he's a good man and very conservative but doesn't have the name 'recognition to win'.

That or you never, ever heard of him, thanks to all of MSM, who feared him most of all, as they know how flawed others are, that many will choose to sit out the '08 election rather than choose any who insult our intelligence with their sell-outs to liberal causes, so they left Hunter largely unnoticed, except for when they thought he was withdrawing and rushed to his last "news" conference and stomped off in a huff when he didn't.

Insomnia. No problem, as it is a long weekend when you are on the Fed/NYSE calendar. :-)

Move out to rural parts and buy some fertile land. The grand experiment called "The United States of America" is over. I knew it the day I saw with my own two eyeballs, IRS employees testifying before Congress while wearing hoods over their heads to conceal their identities and protect them - - from the government's own IRS!

You could still vote third [political group] on principle.

The trip to hell started when America voted in the current Congress. You on a ride with all the Union, liberal, women, commie voters. I don’t think it is going to stop. America is too stupid these days.

Hunter had:

1. NO Money.

2. Little charisma.

3. No experience in an executive role or a senior legislative body.

4. No support outside of a few keyboard warriors disproportionately represented in OC/San Diego/Inland Empire.

We are as screwed as Cincinatti was in New Orleans on that faithful night.

The main problem is that the majority of the nation is far from conservative and we lack an articulate, charismatic spokesman.

We are also a victim of our own success. The GOP had the intellectual/momentum edge when we had stagflation, hostages in Iran, and a high marginal tax rate under a weak Democratic administration.

I respectfully disagree. I think the majority in this country are Conservative but dumb. McCain and Schmuchabee are selling populisim, And that is dangerous to real Conservatives.

I can’t vote for Mclame or pHuckabee.
Romney I will hold my nose and vote for.

What the hell has happened to the Reagan coalition.
I feel like I am in the Twilight zone.

God help us all....

Too many folks live conservatively, but are liberal in the head. Case in point, the large Indian/Indian American population in my area, to say nothing of most suburban women these days.

Texasmatty—along with most Americans—haven’t even voted in primaries or caucuses yet, so your first reason only applies to Iowans, New Hampshirites(?), Nevadans, and South Carolinians. (figuring the ‘you’ in your post was for ‘all’ and not just Texasmatty?).
