It was a cold one today! Haven’t found the key to keeping fingers and toes warm, but PatrioticMarineMom and I think we are prepared for next week. We went to Sunny's Surplus afterwards to get hand warmers, toe warmers, mega warmers, wool gloves/mittens in one and thick hiking socks! This should do the trick for next Saturday.
Lurker Bill showed up with his signs and USA flag displayed proudly. What a patriot LurkerBill is, attending WR, Olney and Westminster within 24 hours! Always a pleasure to have him join us. He had extra hand warmers, which he shared and we were thankful. Olney-Keith showed up with his sign and joined us. In my opinion, we can see Olney-Keith coming our way because he is always smiling and always cheerful. He is another great patriot to have standing with us. I went to the other side to take pictures and then Death pulled up on our side, in front of Lurker Bill. I did not want to cross paths with Death nor be on the dark side with him, so I hurried back to our side. After Death arrived, the moonbats started arriving, little by little. They totaled 7 to the 4 of us. One of them was a young girl. Olney-Keith and I looked at each other in disbelief as we heard her say that she didn’t even know what her sign said! I know that shouldn’t come as a surprise. She’s just a poor, brainwashed puppet holding a sign for the moonbats. Olney-Keith shouted over to Death and asked if he was once at Walter Reed to protest. He asked how it felt to protest in front of the wounded soldiers. Death evaded the specific question but said he protested in front of the White House. Olney-Keith kept hounding him but Death only said that he would dress up as Death anywhere. What a coward in disguise and as Olney-Keith accurately put it, a social outcast.

Many beeps, waves and thumbs up, as usual. Quite a few people rolled their windows down even on this cold day to thank us. One man walking by shook each of our hands and thanked us for being there. A family crossing from the library towards us, said they were happy to be on our side. Now, onto the HIGHLIGHT of the day! A senior citizen came up to thank us and asked about Death. She was not happy with him one bit. She was so angry that she went over to berate Death! Way to go! She really gave him a piece of her mind. We could hear her all the way from our side! She had us laughing so hard and how proud we were that this senior citizen wasn’t intimidated or afraid of Death. I was just waiting for her to take her purse (if she had one) and start smacking Death upside his head, she was that livid! Olney-Keith commented how he wished he had her spunk! As she continued down our side of the street, she started shouting to the other moonbats that her husband was in the service for 30 years and understood why it is better to fight the terrorists in those other countries than on our own soil. What a pistol she was! Thank you - spunky senior citizen! Wish I had pulled my camera out for that one. Maybe we can recruit her! It was another great Rally with more entertainment as we faced off against the moonbats.

I have no tolerance for those who protest in front of our wounded heroes at Walter Reed. I initially asked if he ever wore his Death costume in front of WR. He replied that he’s never been to WR. I told him I have a picture of him protesting in front of WR (look at WR Freep #64 - he’s wearing his Indiana Jones hat with white T-shirt holding a blue sign).
At that point he gave up his argument about never protesting in front of WR and said he would wear his outfit anywhere, even in front of the White House. My emotions got the better of me and I kept berating him about how disgusting it is to protest in front of a military hospital. I asked him what happened during his childhood to make him such a social outcast...he replied that he joined the Army. I wonder if he served with Jesse McBeth.
I asked the Carrol County Progressives and Women in Black if they knew they were standing next to someone who would protest in front of wounded soldiers at a hospital. As expected, none of them cared. In fact, they probably look up to him for that.
On a good note, we had plenty of thumbs up and honks of support. Two different motorists stopped their cars, temporarily holding up traffic, and rolled down their windows to say thank you. One of the gentlemen said he had a relative currently serving and wanted to know how to get involved. I told him about both Free Republic and the Gathering of Eagles. I got a good laugh when the family walked across the street and said he was glad to be on our side. Another gentelmen made sure to shake all our hands and thank us for being present. There were several more encounters. The time goes by too fast (even with cold feet). The ladies from Westminster are doing a great job. Well done!!!!!!!

Rockermom has been doing a great job of posting the AAR on both sites and has been a great help in Westminster! I’m proud to stand on Main St. defending our military and I am just as proud to stand there with Rockermom and everyone who joins us.
I did want to ask a question to those that were there this past Saturday... did anyone see Brad Brown the founder of CCPs??? I haven’t seen him in a few weeks. Lack of commitment perhaps?

The time does go by too fast, even with cold fingers and toes! This is the least we could do for our troops that are sacrificing so much more. We are trying to do a great job in Westminster. Because of FReepers like you, [Mr. T and Mrs. T], Lurker Bill, Buford P and a few others that join us when possible, we have been very successful in spreading the word to Support Our Troops! Thanks very much, PatrioticMarineMom. It has been an honor to join you in this very worthy cause. We couldn’t do it without the wonderful Eagles/FReepers that have helped us immensely. Looking foward to our next Rally. Looks like Death is taking Brad Brown’s space in front of the library, for whatever reason.

He is very boastful of his protests but immediately lied when confronted about protesting in front of Walter Reed. I expected he would.
He also replied that my comments didnt bother him. Of course this was after he gave me the one-finger salute and grabbed his crotch in an offensive manner. Very classy.
I also watched the video from 2-weeks ago that is posted on their website. You can hear the camerawoman call me a jerk. GOOD!!! I’m getting under their skin. The moonbats are not use to any opposition. They are definitely not use to having the truth thrown in their faces.
A nice sweet guy as you getting under their skin, never.
