Clinton's Campaign In Disarray As Staff Squabble Over "Attack Adverts"
Belfast Telegraph ^ | February 16, 2008 | By Leonard Doyle

Hillary Clinton is filling the airwaves with negative ads attacking Barack Obama as the race for the Democratic nomination enters a decisive three-week period.

But her strategy of going on the offensive against a likeable candidate is causing disarray insdie her campaign team.

Spats between her senior staff have leaked to the press and are causing embarrassment for Mrs Clinton as she struggles to find a message that resonates with voters and blocks Mr Obama's progress in the crucial states of Ohio and Texas. Mrs Clinton badly needs to come up with a successful advertising strategy if she is to win the 4 March primaries. This week she launched her first negative ad in Wisconsin - which votes on Tuesday - saying that Mr Obama was refusing to debate with her. But as fast as it went on air, the Obama campaign fought back saying there had already been 18 debates.

Mrs Clinton seems to be staking everything on a strategy of launching expensive attack ads in Texas and Ohio, where she still leads in the polls.

In the past month, the Obama campaign has spent $36m on uplifting ads while Mrs Clinton, who is short of money, spent less than $30m without appearing to break through to the public. Much of the blame is being heaped on her chief strategist, Mark Penn, who caused further embarrassment yesterday when it was revealed that the PR company he heads received hundreds of thousands of dollars in fees from a nuclear power company that Mrs Clinton accused Mr Obama of being too close to...

Don't know how to handle those "uppity" negroes who left the plantation and won't listen to the white master/mistress.

LOL - So, that's where Obama gets his "electrifying" personality.

/sarcasm off

It's getting close to the time Hill unleashes that little commie sob Harold Ickes to do his dirty work.

Harold Ickes
*) Co-founder and unofficial director of the Democrat Shadow Party
*) Sought chairmanship of the Democratic Party in February 2005
*) Ran Hillary Clinton's successful Senate campaign in 1999-2000
*) Former Deputy Chief of Staff for the Clinton White House
*) In his law practice, he represented Mob-run labor unions with ties to the Lucchese, Colombo, Genovese, Gambino and other major crime families.

In 1961 Ickes enrolled at Stanford University, where he fell under the influence of Professor Allard Kenneth Lowenstein, known as the "Pied Piper" for his ability to seduce idealistic young students into the New Left.

~~snip~~

Ickes went that same year (1965) to the Dominican Republic, where — according to the Boston Globe — he sought to “help deposed leftist president Juan Bosch return to office.” After spending two years in Communist Cuba, the socialist Bosch had returned to the Dominican Republic and won the support of a group of leftwing colonels, who sought to place Bosch in power through an armed coup. Only the arrival of 22,000 U.S. Marines stopped the Bosch coup. According to the Boston Globe, Ickes was present on the island when the Marines landed, on April 29, 1965.

In 1977 Ickes joined the Mineola, New York law firm Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, taking charge of its labor practice. Among the crooked unions Ickes represented for the firm were Local 100 of HERE -- the Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees International Union -- which was jointly controlled by the Colombo and Gambino crime families; the New York City District Council of Carpenters, then controlled by the Genovese crime family; and Teamsters Local 851, which ran the air freight rackets at JFK airport for the Lucchese crime family.

~~snip~~

Following Mrs. Clinton's successful election, Ickes played a central role in creating the Democrat Shadow Party. After passage of the McCain-Feingold Act of March 27, 2002, Ickes helped put Shadow Party architect George Soros together with activists Andrew Stern, Ellen R. Malcolm, Steven Rosenthal, Gina Glantz, Cecile Richards, and other leftwing Democrats who were seeking ways to circumvent McCain-Feingold's soft-money ban. Working closely with Soros, Ickes personally helped launch six of the seven organizations that formed the Shadow Party’s core during the 2004 election, including America Coming Together, America Votes, the Center for American Progress, Joint Victory Campaign 2004, the Media Fund, and the Thunder Road Group.

Wherever the evil Ickes goes the commie maggot leaves a slime trail.
And his old man was commie scum too.

He does great without TelePrompters and speech writers.

The guy graduated from Harvard Law. He was president of the Harvard law review. He clearly knows how to think on his feet.

He KO’d Hillary in the debates.

I think the line that won him primaries against her was when she planted the question on ‘how can you give us change when you are using former Clinton advisers’.

Hillary broke all debate protocols and started laughing - extremely loudly. She says ‘I’d like to hear that’.

Obama kept his cool, looked up slowly, paused, and said “I look forward to you advising me as well, Hillary”.

That was the winning line of the debate.

Especially as Hillary’s conduct was clearly unbecoming of a president or even any ordinary debater.

I live in Wisconsin and I sense Obamamania is wearing off a bit. His ads are not that great and I think the primary on Tuesday will be closer than the MSM predicts. A lot of people I know are crossing over to vote for the Hildabeast just to try to keep the Dem race going to the convention. If it goes to the convention and the Clinton’s steal the nomination, Obama’s people will stay home. If Obama gets the nomination, his lack of experience will doom his candidacy. Already in today’s Wash Post, they are starting the scruntiny of him they should have done 6 months ago. His increasing ‘John Edward’s’ economic plan is scaring people and his foreign policy is a joke.

Note to the Clinton ampaign:

Please! please! please! launch some attack ads. They will make you look smaller and even more shrewish than you already do and will be wonderful fun for the general election.

If she steels the election she will get away with it. I'm voting Obama in the primaries. If I have to live with a commie in the WH better him than her. No More Clintons.

...disarray inside her campaign team.

If she can't run her campaign - and she's never run a state, or a business - and she can't run her marriage, why WHY, WHY, should anyone trust her to run this country?

Not so. without TelePrompters, his eloquence degrades into standard-issue left-liberal partisan ranting.
As least according to this Dean Barnett ...

“I’m voting Obama in the primaries. “

Are you pro-abortion anti-troops anti-GWOT and for higher taxes judicial activism and drivers licenses for illegals?

That’s the message your vote for obama sends.

Conservatives need to vote for *CONSERVATIVES*.

Your vote for the most liberal Senator in the US Senate only helps the left and hurts the right.

Well, it does help to drive a stake in the heart of she who must not ever, ever be allowed to rule.

If the great fornicator keeps up his schedule we might get a repeat of the Carnahan tactic used in Missouri.

I would not put that past the Hildebeast.

Hehehe. Simple f*ers can't seem to get it right. Clinton's reliance on cynical corrupt flying monkeys is coming home to roost.
