Ah, BEHOLD the glory of polarization! Take the right, move em left, and that makes the far left have to repel/rebel even farther out into space. Yes, if the Goracle wont run and save the party (let alone the planet), then who can the farthest left on the political spectrum turn to?
Ralph Nader
Politico is reporting that he might announce on Sunday.
One wonders how this might change Obamas message (move it to the left, and put the general election father out of reach)? Will it help/hurt Hillary? Will the Paulbots hit their Paypal buttons like gerbils hitting a food bar in a crack cocaine lab experiment? And if Hillary continues the race all the way to the convention
will a Obama/Clinton/Nader divide turn into a shatter?
This is cool! McCain on right and Nader in hte middle with Obama so far left of Nader that he isn’t even in the building.
Good writing! Kudos.
I doubt Nader will be a factor one way or the other. Even the DUmmies turned on him for running against Kerry and they didn’t even like Kerry but they do like Obama.
Run Ralphie Run!!!!
Wouldn’t it be great if Nader became this cycle’s H. Ross Perot?
I know, wishful thinking!
Good Lord ‘Ahmighty, Colonel! Where’s he been? Hope he suits up and gets out on the field.
With such miserable candidates on both sides, we’d at least have fun. But one thing escapes me: What’s Nader’s wife’s name? Hmm? Isn’t there a Mrs. Nader??????? Huh? Who’s gonna’ be first “lady”?
This year just keeps getting better and better.
Pass the popcorn, this is going to be fun to watch.
Fixed it for ya :-)
Still though, the American people cannot fathom philosophy: they vote according to “feelings”, the “subjective”, “hunches”, name ID, celebrity status. They just aren’t much capable of self-government.
“Gee Wally with this news do ya think some of the McCain haters might haveta admit this helps him?”
“Naw, Beav there’ll twist it around sos it helps caliph obama.”
“But Wal...”
“Forget it Beav, just forget it.”
Anybody who ever owned a Corvair Monza will vote for him...
“McCain on right “
McCain’s on the right? Who knew?
If Nader had anything to say, he would have entered the race at the beginning, in order to get his message heard. Even though he knew he wouldn’t win. Instead, he waits until the race is all but over to get out there. Who has heard Nader speak on anything, except to push his book?
Several 19th-century Presidents (Jefferson, Jackson, Van Buren, and Arthur) were widowers while in the White House, so they had to find someone else to carry out the social duties of the First Lady. Nader might turn to Cindy Sheehan.
Nader had almost 3 million votes in 2000, but only 411,000 in 2004. I would guess he’d get even fewer in 2008...but he could be a factor in a closely-divided state.
