Ten states with 111 Electoral Votes are either a pure Toss-Up or just slightly leaning to one party or the other. These are likely to be the early battleground states of Election 2008: Florida (27), Ohio (20), Virginia (13), Missouri (11), Colorado (9), Iowa (7), Nevada (5), New Mexico(5), New Hampshire (4), and Wisconsin."

Not as good as I thought, battleground states are comprised of 97EVs that we won in 04, and 4 that the rats won...plus Wisconsin. We are just trying to hang on to what we won, and nothing is at risk for them outside of NH and Wisc.

I am going to do all I can to make sure that a mean, nasty, vindictive old man is not the next president. I don’t want to have Warren Rudman on the supreme court.

Any day. I don’t want to reward McCain for 8 years of spitting in the face of conservatives.

It's a three-way race now, with one candidate narrowly leading.

One will be eliminated soon, and where will his/her supporters find a home? That depends on who and how - who gets the Dem nomination, and how much blood is shed to secure it.

These polls don't mean much until that is decided.

John McCain - IQ Score Range: 120 - 130.

So, you're one of those "Bush is an idiot" guys?

And I don’t want to live four or eight years under Dem domination.

Yep. The current dissatisfaction with Bush is a factor now. Hard to say what it will be come November.

IQ? Who cares.

There is no bigger bunch of feckless idiots in the world than the membership of Mensa.

IQ is worthless without wisdom and frankly McCain, for all his faults, is Moses compared to Hitlery and Obama-mama.

“The electoral vote shows a tilt in their favor.”

At his high water mark, the Messiah is 16 points behind in Florida and a point behind in Ohio. That is a tilt all right, but it is something like the tilt of the Titanic before it went stern up. I saw another poll, not a Rasmussen, that had him trailing by 1 in Pennsylvania.

When his record is exposed, as it will be, including his opposition to the Born Alive Infants Protection act (BAIPA) in Illinois (which passed 98-0 in the U.S. Senate), making felons out of the victims of gun theft, and assorted other wacky to downright evil positions, he is going to lose not only every state in the south and mountain west, but Ohio (where he will be thrashed in southern Ohio over his radical social liberalism), Pennsylvania and probably Michigan as well. He may have trouble winning California, where the Hispanic voters are not enamored of him.

This is shaping up as a landslide. The MSM wants it to be a horserace, but if you ask Democratic pros, they know that the Obama candidacy is the political equivalent of Pickett’s Charge.

Neither Democrat can compete in red states, mainly because of their unelectability, while McCain can compete in blue states.

I think we'll find, in the end, that McCain's competition in the blue states was as much illusion as the Times endorsement of him. We'll also see him struggle to take red states that would be easy for a Conservative Republican. I also still believe there will be a third party forming on the Conservative side.

I know what I’m getting and not getting with McCain, and I’m willing to endure it.

Yep - me too. No way I want Obama or Hillary picking 2+ SC justices.

The problem is that you get that if either party wins this time.

Osama Obama will appoint Supreme Court and Federal court judges who are to the far Left of Ruth Bader Ginsberg. The effects of their decisions will last for decades.

Of those conservatives who said they would never vote for McCain 63% knew in their hearts they would, come November.

Stop speaking for what is "in my heart". Your smug, smarmy posts that continually tell us that we'll fall in line like good little sheeple come November are wrong.

Now, go stand in line over there - and vote for McCain like a good little sheeple.

Polls this far out from the election are just about meaningless.

The polls are meaningful to Hillary - her high negative ratings are killing her in her own party.

It's too soon to reach any conclusions from the polls, but it's useful to look at the trends rather than just the latest numbers.

As will McCain. His recent comments on Alito, his actions forming the Gangrene of 14, and leading the opposition on other Social Conservative positions all indicate someone just as bad. He suffers from "do what the Dims want so it'll get passed and my reputation for getting things done" syndrome.
