Next on school agenda: Teaching communism
Worldnetdaily ^ | March 04, 2008 | Bob Unruh

A new plan by a California lawmaker would allow schools to be used to promote the overthrow of the U.S. government, and let teachers in public district classrooms "inculcate in the mind of any pupil a preference for communism," according to a traditional values advocacy organization.

"Just when we thought the indoctrination in California's public schools couldn't get any worse, state lawmakers introduce bills that will further brainwash innocent children," said a statement from Capitol Resource Institute, a traditional values and family advocacy organization based in California.

"We're in California. Of course it has a chance of succeeding," CRI spokeswoman Karen England told WND. "These people get bolder and bolder every year."

Her organization, along with several others, already has been battling over lawmakers' orders, already placed in law, that public schools in the state teach nothing but positive messages about homosexuality, transsexuality, bisexuality and other alternative lifestyles.

Those plans are being challenged in court, by citizens' attempts to place the issue on the 2008 election ballot and by family advocates who say the best option is for families to abandon public schools for private schools or other alternatives. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=58061

Red Sox third baseman Mike Lowell’s father-in-law was jailed and sentenced to death on Cuba because he would not be indoctrinated into Communism.

I teach communism in my publik hi scewl class. I tell my students that their assignment is a two page paper about communism. Then I tell them that everyone will be given a C+. Each year, only one or two students figure it out and simply hand in a piece of paper with their name on it. There are always the overachievers who actually write the paper. It provides a great learning experience!

Aren’t there Federal laws against sedition? The article is exactly right. Just when we thought California couldn’t teach anything more outrageous, this shows up. Just how does Sen. Lowenthal think he is elected? He is elected because we have representative government. That would go away if communism took over.

“.would allow schools to be used to promote the overthrow of the U.S. government..”

I still remember Kruchev making the statement that “We (communism) will bury you (democracy)”

He was a profound visionist.

May I offer a slight modification to your methods? Grade each paper as if it were a real grading assignment. Then in the open class, take grade points from the over achievers and give them to the blank papers and “level” the grades until everyone has the exact same point grade.

Reminds me of a communist ancient English lit (tenured) prof I had in college in the 70’s. He said from the outset eevryone would get an A, and we did. A lot of people actually came to class.

Those laws aren’t enforced anyone. The idiot senator thinks he is one of the ‘elite’ and doesn’t need little things like elections.

I have friends and relatives in California, and I feel for them. But, I am sick of the liberal agendas of the left leaning to forced socialism and communism.

If Californians want, or allow their state to be so in-step and emmulate, and even admire communist or socialist government, get it out of the Union. Make them a separate country and let them have their communist country to themselves. Then when there is a mud-slide, earthquake, raging fire, or the drain of feeding and providing for illegal immigrants cause them financial ruin - it will be their problem. Let the country be over-run with gangs, drug addicts and dealers, crime, and people with questionable morals who care less about others, only about their own "rights." Let them protect themselves from terrorists, without providing our military to save them.

Let them handle all that without the U.S. government being called upon to rescue them, while the rest of our country's taxpayers take the hit for those costs.

While building the fence to keep out illegal immigrants, we should continue it up along the California border to separate our country from the California communist one.

Another FR thread today was about a “bad court decision” that basically outlawed homeschooling in Ca.

The Left demands to indoctrinate your children. And they won’t be denied.
