Nice. I’ll be happy to take them off their hands for free in order to properly dispose of them in a safe, sane manner.

I wonder what foreign object was obstructing the barrel?

This thread has just added to the FreeRepublic "bang list" (firearms interest list) by adding the keyword "banglist".
Any time a firearms-related thread is created on FreeRepublic, please be sure to add the "banglist" keyword to it so that interested FReepers don't miss it. Just a suggestion.

Glad I sold my Glock and bought a Kimber.

Exactly. Or faulty cheap low bid ammo.
My 2 have cycled 1000’s of rounds and keep on shooting.

Do the .45 GAP models have the unsupported chamber, like the .40SW Glock 22s?
Never had a problem with any of my Glocks.
Reliable as hell.

I’ve got three, and thrown hand loads, cheap steel jacketed foreign ammo, +P, etc through them. Never a single solitary failure.
Sometimes I think I could put a rock into the chamber and they would fire it just fine....

That’s probably what happened. Some one tried to load in a regular .45 instead of the .45 GAP, although I don’t know how they would get one in the chamber.

Being the good citizen that I am, I would be happy to offer my back yard as place for them to leave thier Glocks, and I would not limit them to the .45's.
I know, I know, I'm just to kind. I admit it, I am just ot kind.
To: MichaelP
First it was GLOCK .40’s exploding (weak barrels).
Now GLOCK .45’s.

Ditching that orphan of a cartridge is a good idea, KB’s not withstanding.
To: fireforeffect
Kinda makes you wonder if Microsoft is making Glocks now, doesn't it? ;-)

My original NRA training counselor referred to Glocks as “Glops” and wouldn’t allow them on his shooting range.
To: VanShuyten
What’s the difference between a .45 ACP and .45 GAP?
“GAP” is new to me.

...And a guy I shoot with who was once state IDPA champion only uses Glock 19s and 17s in IDPA. And another range officer I know scoffs at anything but a Wilson or Les 1911.
Whatever. Glock is without question an extraordinarily reliable handgun.

My department has issued Glocks (40 and 45 cal.) for over fifteen years with no problems. I think it may be related to that particular model.
To: SJSAMPLE
I think so but I have 2 32’s.
To: trussell
.45 GAP is a special cartridge that was introduced by Glock. Incompatible with .45 ACP.
