Hardball: 'Kamikaze' Hillary Ready to Wreck the Party
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

After me, the deluge" (après moi, le déluge) -- popularly attributed to Louis XV

Look for Chris Matthews to start calling her "Louie." The Hardball host was as roiled as Robespierre today at Hillary Clinton's threat to take the Dem party down in a convention credentials fight over the seating of the Florida and Michigan delegates.

In the course of an interview with Greta Van Susteren of Fox News yesterday, Clinton made clear her intention to take things to a floor fight if necessary, and went so far as to pre-emptively undermine Barack Obama's legitimacy as a candidate if he doesn't go along with her proposal to seat the Florida and Michigan delegates. That set Matthews off, though it was panelist Tucker Carlson who supplied the most colorful language, describing Hillary as a "kamikaze" who is "ready to wreck the party."

I hope the process ruins her and Bill’s reputation.

I've noticed that there are far less tell-all books written by former members of the Clinton Administration, than by any other. Of course, Arkancide is surely a primary concern, but so is the blind loyalty that the Toons have fooled their chosen idiots into giving.

I'm hoping that after the final nail is driven in their political coffin (and that could take years, instead of weeks) that we will see a lot more of the inside story come out. I'm certain that those in a position to tell the dirty little secrets have been threatened powerfully, and since she's still going to look to gaining the White House in the case of Obama getting the nomination, and losing the general to McCain, she's still going to be a force to be reckoned with.

That's one of the reasons we really should do everything in our power to make sure she's the nominee, failed Rat nominees have a way of politically disappearing from view.

hillary is going to have the nomination and use every dirty trick in the book, and plus some not in the book.

Yup. And she is adding new chapters to the "book". LOL.

[Sheer Brilliance!!]

Thanks so much. I started on that gif at 10am in the morning and finished it after dinner - 7pm. Cutting out two figures to make one, putting on Huma’s head. Painting things out, painting things in, compositing, etc, etc.

Everything is more work than people think it is. Sometimes I would like to have more ‘scenes’ but the file size can get huge.

Therefor I really appreciate nice comments like yours!!

Lol, just checked back in and saw your post!
I thought of one more frame I’d like to add.
Have to ask you about the ‘from the side’ bit.

Gotta go do some things, see you later.

There was an interesting op/ed in yesterday's WSJ about this. Using statistical analysis based on Super Tuesday results and the polls as they existed at the time, the writer concluded the Florida primary came out just where it would be expected to and Michigan was close if you count "uncommitted" as Obama votes. I doubt there will be much sentiment on the Dim side for such a solution.

The Republican solution was crude, only counting half the Florida delegate votes, but was generally accepted as fair.

I don't at all agree this situation is analogous to the Florida 2000 chad problem. That was a question of how to determine voter intent on what were essentially spoiled ballots and whether Florida had adopted uniform guidelines to do so. There was no attempt to disenfranchise the state, which is what the Dims did over this year's Florida primary. A really bad solution, IMHO.

As Will rogers once said - "I don't belong to an organized political party...I'm a Democrat"

One of the great wisecracks of all time. :-))

I have no sympathy for them as life just ain't full of do overs.

Me neither. In fact, I'm enjoying their discomfort immensely!
