FBI: Eco-Terrorism Remains No. 1 Domestic Terror Threat
Fox News ^ | 31 Mar 2008 | Fox News

For nearly seven years, the nation has turned its terror focus on Al Qaeda and the hunt for Usama bin Laden. But there is a domestic terror threat that federal officials still consider priority No. 1 — eco-terrorism.

The torching of luxury homes in the swank Seattle suburb of Woodinville earlier this month served as a reminder that the decades-long war with militant environmentalists on American soil has not ended.

"It remains what we would probably consider the No. 1 domestic terrorism threat, because they have successfully continued to conduct different types of attacks in and around the country," said FBI Special Agent Richard Kolko.

The FBI defines eco-terrorism "as the use or threatened use of violence of a criminal nature against innocent victims or property by an environmentally oriented, subnational group for environmental-political reasons, or aimed at an audience beyond the target, often of a symbolic nature."

March 3: Firefighters battle a blaze in Woodinville, Wash.

March 3: A multimillion-dollar show home burns in a suburb north of Seattle.

The envirowhackos are so torn up over what we are doing to the environment that it makes sense to burn houses down and throw all that CO2 into the atmosphere, make the fire departments use precious water and kill more trees to rebuild the place.

Must be all that sensitivity training that CAIR and the other muzzie groups gave the FBI. They want us to believe that a handful of wacked-out enviroweenies present a deadly threat, but islamic pukes don’t. Can’t recall any of the green freaks killing anyone, or cutting off heads, or flying airplanes into buildings, etc. I guess I missed that little bit of news.

I think the qualifer ‘domestic’ applies to the nationality of the terrorist, not the location of the terrorism.

Even when a U.S. citizen or national is involved as a plotter, a few instances of sudden-jihadi syndrome notwithstanding, it’s pretty much always the case that Islamic terrorism has an overseas connection, and is thus, international terrorism, not domestic terrorism.

Chances are that the super rich on the left coast are themselves big supporters of lefty causes. The policies and groups that they have supported are coming back to bite them.

Priority #1 needs to be preventing mass murder of American citizens, period.

Stopping the eco-freaks from burning SUVs or injuring the occasional logger is lower on the list.

That's because the ELF has (so far) successfully eluded the nation's most self-important super police agency.

“Chances are that the super rich on the left coast are themselves big supporters of lefty causes. The policies and groups that they have supported are coming back to bite them.”

In California four of the six most southern counties voted GOP last election cycle. San Diego, Orange, Ventura and San Luis Obispo. Total population 7 million.

Lumping many good people under a false, derogatory label is nonsense.

Getting snippy about the “super rich” sounds like liberal resentment, too.

Do a little research on the net and you can read plenty about these freaks killing people, digging up a researcher’s dead mother’s body to torture him for hurting animals, and the other very violent acts committed by animal rights and eco terrorists across the globe.

What was the name of mail bomber that sent bombs to people in the name of “environmental activism? Ted something. And the University of Tennessee researcher who was killed when a car bomb was placed on his car? There’s also plenty of cases where violence is committed on researchers who conduct animal research. It is widespread in Europe.

And, if you pull up the agenda for the annual animal rights conferences (including the HSUS and PETA) here in the U.S. you’ll find these agendas include seminars on how to emulate their European counterparts. It’s coming, believe me, these freaks here in the U.S have plans to take their “protest” to a much more dangerous and widespread level here. The FBI knows it, as does Congress, as there have been congressional hearings on the threat from these domestic terrorists.

Theodore Kaczynski, no you can’t call him Ted thank you. A big fan of Al Gores. Then theres the arsons at construction sites and auto agencies in the NW. And tree spiking. Peaceful fellows who contend their violence is necessary to save the planet, as do all terrorists, if not the planet they’re saving something else.

Thanks for the ping. The guy killed and maimed several before he was caught. Have you seen the comparisons between his “manifesto” and Al Gore’s book? It was hard to tell who wrote which piece.

A big fan of Al Gores.

I'm sure the unabomber would just love to send the inventor of the internet some fan mail, if nothing else just to lecture him on the evils of modern leftism.

I don’t consider lone nuts like Kaczinsky (spelling?) in the same league as an islamic terrorist, who in all probability is part of an organized cell, and thus far more dangerous (financing, logistics, etc. are usually provided). Besides, Kaczinsky was more of an iconoclast than an eco-warrior. He hated big business in general, and despised authority. And, what about the UT professor (actually, I thought he was from Georgia Tech, but in all candor I can’t remember)? Has that murder even been solved yet? I don’t remember anyone being arrested for it, or any objective proof of a motive.

Eco-warriors tend to be cowardly wimps, anyhow. They are driven more by the “coolness” of their actions than by any commitment to a sacred cause. And they always tend to be hit and run sneaks. The islamic bad guys, on the other hand, though cowardly in their own way, are far more disciplined and dedicated to their cause, and often do not hesitate to get right up in your face when they attack.

Eco-warriors are playing sandlot softball compared to the major league hard ball the islamic nuts are playing.

Anyway, that’s my opinion.
