The trouble began, Jolita Berry said, when she asked a girl in one of her art classes at Reginald F. Lewis High School to sit down.
The student did not obey, coming closer to confront the teacher. "She said she's gonna bang me," Berry said. "I said, 'Back up, you're in my space. If you hit me, I'm gonna defend myself.'"
But Berry, who is 30 and started her job teaching art at the Northeast Baltimore school in December, did not defend herself. The girl caught the teacher off guard as other students cheered her on and screamed, "Hit her!"
"She just started beating on me relentlessly," Berry said, recalling the Friday morning incident that left her with a sore shoulder and a broken blood vessel in her eye.

The schools of today ARE the streets of today!
And the OTHER animals CHEERED!!! ROMAN times!! FERAL CHILDREN..... END TIMES.
“Follow the trail of the money and you will find the root of all evil.”
Just to clarify, money is not the root of all evil, it is the LOVE of money that is the root of all evil. “Money” has no morals, only the user of the money has the ability to use money morally or immorally.
Many kids are totally out of control, and unfortunately their parents either do nothing or actually encourage what we would have called anti-social behavior in the past.

Didn’t you see that the school was in MD? Most people think that stands for “Maryland” but what it actually stands for is “Mentally Deficient.”
Ya take 10,000 of them, put them on the island, give them each a dollar, and tell them it takes 10,000 dollars to get off the island. When one is left with 10 grand, ya look him right in the eye and say, “ Sorry pal, we lied. Here are 10,000 more. Now it takes 20 grand to get off the island”.....
Well I know that but in a lot of instances where corruption is present THAT money is the root of all evil. I know there are people out there that give money from the heart. I’m not speaking of them. I’m speaking of all those who allow money to rule their lives and that money is as my mother used to call it: “blood money.”
No, but...there must be someone around that could rescue a child by teaching them at home.
my wife has said that we should bring back mandatory military service.
Agree...Government monies as opposed to monies that people work hard for. Money is power and that’s what people want. look at the clintins...they make all that money and don’t even have the decency to pay back a campus what they owe them. That is EVIL.
“Im speaking of all those who allow money to rule their lives..”
Which is my point. That is the “Love” of money. By forgetting that small point, we play into the class warfare socialists hands and become their tools in advancing their agenda.
Would it be safe to assume that Ms. Berry was “once” a far left lib?
Oh my, so you mean that this doesn’t happen in every single government school??? Sorry for the sarcasm, but it’s frustrating when these incidents are used to paint every public school as a hell hole.

That really is the point. These kids don’t deserve public funds to be spent on their education. Make an example of them, throw them out, prosecute them, and do it quickly. Let the other wannabes know that they will face the same. And of course, Mom doesn’t get welfare for the kid if he/she is not in her custody and in school.

Perhaps I misunderstood your post, so feel free to correct me, but did you just say that if a person’s children attended public school they have the virus and are compromised, and so by inference, our opinion on the matter is tainted and thus holds no value?
susie
While that is a valid point, there would be many kids today whose parents would not avail themselves of that option. They don’t really care what their kids are doing. You would have masses of kids out there on the streets, and while I don’t think it’s the job of public education to babysit thugs, what do you suggest we do with them?

The Principal is right. The word “defend” could have sounded like a challenge to a fight.
Kick the bastards out of the school.
absolutely then she can give her parent's the beating they deserve for raising such a jerk
I once had a student tell me that something I said or did (don’t remember what it was) was bad for their self esteem. I told them that self esteem was not created by what others said to you, but by what you attempted and accomplished. She looked at me like I was crazy.
