If you were a conservative living in AZ, watching McPain get more votes from Dems than Reps in election after election, you’d be cynical too. I take your remark as a compliment, thanks.

>>He already said there will be no amnesty. Regardless there was no amnesty even when it was tried for.<<
McCain and Kennedy will do well when there are enough people who will defend their sophistry.

By not voting you will get something far worse. How is that principled? Oh, I plan to vote. It's just that I'm going to cast a vote for a candidate as opposed to against one.
To: Norman Bates
Do you really think that I’d fall for election-eve ‘changes’? A concession isn’t want I want. I want someone that is a conservative - not someone that has to make concessions to attract conservatives. Therein lies the problem.
And you forgot to mention that McCain said loud and clear during the debates that he would vote for the McCain-Kennedy amnesty again. He hasn’t changed one bit. Once he gets the power he’s been craving for years, he’ll show his liberal colors and continue pissing on conservatives. I expect to see a lot of disappointed posters here, if he gets elected. But there’s no reason for it because the reality is pretty obvious. Except for those that prefer to live in a pretend world where everything turns out their way.

What you need to understand though, is that we Conservatives and Republicans have NO POWER over liberal Democrats.
What you say is true. But I also think we have very little power over a liberal Republican that has already thanked Dems and indies for his nomination.
You have a point about amnesty and Miers. I just don't think people will be able to continue the volume of the fight to shoot down every time they push amnesty, socialism, whatever.... at some point, they will win as long as they have a liberal in the WH that won't veto it. Doesn't really matter which one of the 3. BUT, we might be able to get a conservative in there in 2012 after a Dem presidency that was a failure.

>Well, Im just glad that you and your buddies are in the extreme minority
LOL! Good one.
Yeah, that is why McCain is just rolling in money.
Because we are the extreme minority.

Your assumptions are dangerously naive.
Dems won’t be weaker in 2012. With an incumbent - they’ll be formidable.
McCain is not young enough to run again in ‘12. Republicans will have a very strong opening for a more conservative nominee - and everyone needs to start finding one. Pronto.
But we need to win and keep the Whitehouse first.
Giving away the biggest prize of all, voluntarily, is foolish. At best.

>McCain who is opposed to ethanol subsidies.
Of course he is.
He is promoting his Carbon cap and tax plan with his buddy Lieberman.
I saw Lieberman traveling around Florida working for McCain, largely under the radar at first, and I came to realize how common their outlook and interests have become.
Your point about his opposition to the drug plan is valid.

I don't think my pencil is capable of making all the left turns required to actually write "John McCain".

who benifits from illegal immegration? business community, and they fund the campains of those that will keep the border open. America competes on the global market, aginst countries such as china, Taiwan, south america, European union, and pacific rim countries. these countries pay Penney's on the dollar for wages. how long can America pay middle class wages and stay completive? will McCain sell the U.S. out because business wants cheap labor and seeks those who will help it achieve those goal..
