The Rev. Jeremiah Wright couldn't have done more damage to Barack Obama's campaign if he had tried. And you have to wonder if that's just what one friend of Wright wanted.
Shortly before he rose to deliver his rambling, angry, sarcastic remarks at the National Press Club Monday, Wright sat next to, and chatted with, Barbara Reynolds.
A former editorial board member at USA Today, she runs something called Reynolds News Services and teaches ministry at the Howard University School of Divinity. (She is an ordained minister).
It also turns out that Reynolds - introduced Monday as a member of the National Press Club "who organized" the event - is an enthusiastic Hillary Clinton supporter.
On a blog linked to her Web site- www.reynoldsnews.com- Reynolds said in a February post: "My vote for Hillary in the Maryland primary was my way of saying thank you" to Clinton and her husband for the successes of Bill Clinton's presidency.

Obama had said that he had not heard Wrights controversial remarks, but to the extent that he did hear them, he disagreed with them. Obama went on to say that he didnt much notice any political talk from Wright, and he was there to hear about Jesus.
But after hearing Wrights speech describing just what the Black Liberation Theology of his church was all about, that excuse no longer flies.
That would be like saying Ive listened to Rush Limbaugh for 20 years, but Ive never heard him say anything negative about the Clintons. Ive never heard him criticize liberals. I just listened to hear about football.
I get Playboy mag for the articles.
I heard from a reliable source that a staff member of Bill Moyers,—I don’t remember her name or position—thought Wright’s “speaking tour” would help soften his image. The word is that their intent was to let Wright make public speeches with less incendiary language giving the media more kinder, gentler sound bites to play in place of the ones they’ve been playing over and over. I can’t confirm this but if somebody in the media are interested they should start in the office of Bill Moyers asking questions.
I would say 100% chance dirty trick by Hillary Clinton, 0% chance Obama spin! :-)
***Is this news story just spin from Obamas campaign or evidence of a typical Clinton dirty trick using Minister Farrakhan um. Reverend Jeremiah Wright?***
Obama is just Obama, Clinton doesn't have to try with all this help, and McCain is even hurting himself to dance around the race issue. Wright is screwing Obama for HIS own reasons. The most inflammable result would be the Dems nominating Clinton at the convention. That is the optimum result for Wright's purposes. If the Dems nominate Obama, then he is so damaged, or even more stuff in the future comes out, that McCain wins and the US is still a racist pit of snakes for not allowing Obama to be president even thought he's a commie terrorist sympathizer. Either way, trouble is brewing.
Reverend Wright is to Barack Obama as Fort Marcy Park was to Vince Foster.
You could be right but how she expects to win without the black vote,,, I don’t know.
More popcorn please.
I don’t like Hillary, but her team does receive an A+ for this one. This has been worth taking the time to watch. LOL
Can we say anything the Dems are doing is constructive? Typically, no.
That trend would be interesting.
Could be. We'll see.
If Wright had any doubt about it, that doubt has been settled today because today he was thrown under the bus, thrown under the train, thrown under the airplane, even flushed down the sewer by Barack Obama.
I guess they're both stupid.
And you're the genius!
I am unsure if many of the American sheeple have even heard of Reverend Wright.
These two swindling crooks should never be voted in to return to the office of the presidency. Our country and citizens have suffered much because of their reckless disregard and negligence of national security.
So in turn she wants us to believe she is a good person because her pastor, who we don't know anything about, is a good person and he is not Rev. Wright.
What a way to win the presidency. Two candidates so much a like in policy and ideas, but have two different pastors. Hillary doesn't have anything to offer than her last name. Barack at least is doing this on his own without a former impeached ex-president husband's political connections.
So are we voting for the pastor? If so, I'd like to see and hear Hillary's.
I don’t disagree with what Rush said in that quote.
It has absolutely nothing to do with what the blogger said in his post.
The blogger seemed to suggest that Wright coming out and making a fool of himself was some kind of brilliant stategery on Obama’s part. But it wasn’t.
It didn’t change our opinion of Reverend Wright. It only reinforced it. So now when Obama said “that’s not the man I met 20 years ago,” there is a collective response back of “BS.” It is patently obvious to all that Obama has to be the worst, most inept judge of character there is, or he is lying and doing what politicians do, as Jeremiah Wright has told us. And don’t think Reverend Wright won’t have a response now to this.
Rush just said that Obama had thrown Wright under the bus. Indeed he did.
The only problem for Obama is he missed the bus by a few weeks.
