BRANDON, S.D. — Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton defended staying in the Democratic nominating contest on Friday by pointing out that her husband had not wrapped up the nomination until June 1992, adding, “We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California.”
Her remarks were met with quick criticism from the campaign of Senator Barack Obama, and within hours of making them Mrs. Clinton expressed regret, saying, “The Kennedys have been much on my mind the last days because of Senator Kennedy,” referring to the recent diagnosis of Senator Edward M. Kennedy’s brain tumor. She added, “And I regret that if my referencing that moment of trauma for our entire nation and in particular the Kennedy family was in any way offensive.”
Still, the comments touched on one of the most sensitive aspects of the current presidential campaign — concern for Mr. Obama’s safety. And they come as Democrats have been talking increasingly of an Obama/Clinton ticket, with friends of the Clintons saying that Bill Clinton is musing about the possibility that the vice presidency might be his wife’s best path to the presidency if she loses the nomination.

If the media’s allowed to spin this as though Hilary’s calling for his assassination, imagine what they’ll do every time President HUSSEIN proposed any social program. They will be spun as racist... EVERY social program, and many fiscal programs (cause those could be construed as favoing the rich - aka white, and a detriment to the poor - aka blacks) will pass. The nation, after 8 years of Osama, will be markedly different from the country we know today
I just watched the video and although I think you can make a case for your position, history has told us that nothing the Clintons say or do is done without calculation. The fact that she brought assassination up at all is a turd in the punchbowl that will not be tolerated, regardless how she said it. Bill Clinton uses this device brilliantly, showing “concern” or “sincerity” when he is trying to convey a different message. Like when he marginalized Obama’s SC primary victory and compared to Jesse Jackson.
The good news here is that this only creates more rifts among the donkeys and if Obama feels forced to invite her onto the ticket or not, the tension will be a great distraction. The democrats have many fractures at a good time - the republicans are in a shambles.

Okay, I have not seen the full two minutes as you suggested in its entirety. I do not see a link in the story so if you link it I will watch.
As someone who has watched this evil witch destroy the lives of people going back to Billy Dale and the Travel Office, I fail to see what I’m missing.
But then again I have a pretty good memory. And this vile foul politician is exactly who I remember from the early Clinton days. Someone is comfortable with absolutely destroying apolitical civil servants for no other reason than creating power for herself.
As many remember, she turned the FBI on to Billy Dale and the whole Travel Office personnel.
I don’t feel snookered by the MSM on this as I’ve heard this is the third time Shrillary has made this type of comment.
I see it as revealing, not as an MSM operation for Obama. I don’t support the guy but I am an American first and have to say this is about as bad as anything I’ve ever heard in this country from someone running for the Oval Office. (To this point I used to shudder at the comments from Howard Dean and John Edwards and Dennis Kucinich (but no one is listening to Kucinich.)

I disagree, her assassination reference was way beyond the Pale.
Do not imagine that the message was intended to imply that Obama is likely to already be on somebody's list and that if the dims were to get him to the WH he would not live to fill even the first four years.

This is nothing new. obama is just the latest liberal to be hoisted up by the media. kerry enjoyed the same treatment and gore before him. I’m thrilled that hillary is being taken to task by the media and will not be shocked to see mccain suffer the same fate.
