For moonbats, global warming trumps local groping
By Howie Carr | Sunday, June 8, 2008 | http://www.bostonherald.com

How did a degenerate like Jim Marzilli ever get elected to any office, even one as inconsequential as Massachusetts state senator?

The answer is simple: We live in a democracy. The people get what they deserve. How do you like it now, moonbats of Arlington?

As it turns out, some seem to like it just fine. Many would still vote for the groper. And if you want to know just how loony the moonbat left has become in Massachusetts, you should check out their Web sites. Here’s a typical Arlington moonbat named Eric:

“I want to explain something to conservatives who are lamenting a ‘double standard’ or lack of outrage over Marzilli’s ‘alleged’ actions. As a liberal I try to save my moral outrage for the big issues. . . . If a politician is cheating on his wife, or running amock (sic) grabbing at women, it just seems so petty in comparison.”

Unless of course you’re the groped woman. Now that the lewd dude is in the loony bin, his PC fellow travelers are disappointed by his possible successors.

“A few platitudes,” Nate wrote of their campaign literature, “nothing on very important issues like global warming.” Just wondering, but when does the state Senate vote on the Kyoto protocols? But if you post a comment like that, the moonbats go crazy. Just calling them moonbats, by the way, is “hate speech.” As far as the moonbats are concerned, even the word “downfall” is out of bounds.

“Downfall is a pretty strong and hurtful word,” one wrote, “for a dedicated public servant who has fallen ill.” Fallen ill? He dresses up like a bum, makes obscene comments to woman after woman and tries to grab them. Some illness. But back to global warming.

“In my neighborhood,” someone named Adam wrote, “where there is already significant flooding, climate change is a local issue.”

Buy a sump pump and shut up.

Not everybody in Arlington is a trust-funded, prescription-medicated, 50-year-old mitten-knitter. After Marzilli was admitted to the loony bin, one woman wrote, “If you are going to send him any type of card, dip into your Monopoly game and reach for the ‘Go to Jail’ card. That’s where he belongs.”

You can imagine the flaming she got. She was accused of every moonbat crime except saying “Merry Christmas” instead of “Happy Winter Solstice.”

Here’s a message from Rosina: “I wish Jim Marzilli and his family only the best.”

Not one word about his victims.

“Whatever may be the exact issue of where this is all coming from, how it developed, etc. etc. is really none of anyone’s business.”

The problem isn’t just Arlington. Marzilli’s case would have gone up before the Senate Ethics Committee, which most recently dealt - or should I say, didn’t deal with - Sen. Dianne Wilkerson of Roxbury. She was briefly sentenced to a halfway house, which was a step up from her two predecessors, both of whom did time in prison.

Then there’s Lowell, the scene of Marzilli’s final gropings. The Mill City had a run where two of its three senators went to the can. One of them, Paul Sheehy, was actually elected after he was paroled from Danbury.

Last week, I was checking the record of the Dukakis judge who cut Sen. Groper loose on $1,500 bail. His name is Neil “Let ’em Walk” Walker. On a list of the witnesses for Let ’em Walk Walker at his 1985 judicial confirmation hearing is none other than the aforementioned felon, Paul Sheehy.

So having Marzilli appear before him was not the judge’s first brush with a bent solon. I called the judicial spokesman to find out if jailbird Sheehy had indeed appeared on behalf of Let ’em Walk Walker.

“No comment,” was the reply.

Sen. Marzilli, just keep your case in front of Let ’em Walk Walker and you’ll be back in the Senate in no time, voting against those proposed harsher penalties for sexual predators. And your moonbat constituents will be cheering you on.

I was in grad school at BU at the time of Nixon's rout of McGovern. A few of the grad students were talking about it (I was too outnumbered to say anything), and one of them -- a true moonbat before the term existed -- said, "Massachusetts really is the most liberal state . . . but it's also the most corrupt! I just don't understand it . . ." LOL!

Howie’s show goes off at 5:30 on WRKO on Tue and Thu due to a change in the time of the Red Sox games. Normally the game
would begin at 7 pm/pregame at 6:30 but Red Sox are moving it back to 6 pm...because the Celtics have 9 pm Finals games
those nights. See below.

Tue June 10 & Thu June 12:
—Goes off WRKO at 5:30 pm Tune to WCRN which at least will
carry the 5:30-6 pm segment. Then THEY have to go to the Sox
game. Online streaming is poss., as are other stations
that carry Howie beyond 6 pm.

From Red Sox MLB:
BOSTON - ...So it’s fitting as the Celtics move their series back to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4 on Tuesday and Thursday that the Sox are remaining committed to making their own games overlap as little as possible. Boston announced Monday that its Tuesday and Thursday tilts with the Baltimore Orioles have been shifted to begin one hour earlier than scheduled, both beginning at 6:05 p.m. ET.

The NBA Finals games held on those nights will begin at 9 p.m. ET in Los Angeles.

It’s the same time-shift that the Sox initiated in their series finale with Tampa Bay on Thursday, which originally overlapped with Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Both the Red Sox’s and Celtics’ games were played in Boston that night, making it conceivable that fans could make it to both games if they had tickets to do so.

So is 'RKO looking to be a sports station or a talk station or is it planning to starve like that donkey or whatever in Aesop's fables who couldn't decide which bale of hay eat?

Does Howie Carr not know that Jeff Beatty is running on the GOP side for Senator Kerry’s seat? Howie keeps saying that nobody is running on the GOP side for this U.S. Senate seat while also having Kerry’s Democratic Primary opponent, Ed O’Reilly, on his show! What’s going on?

He may not be aware (if he is, he’s ignoring him). Maybe
some of Jeff’s supporters will contact Howie, etc. Those
registered as “Unenrolled” could vote for O’Reilly (take a
Dem ballot) in the primary if they wish (to give Kerry
a scare?) but Beatty does indeed exist on the final
ballot (he’s unopposed in the GOP primary due to
Ogonowski falling short of nomination signatures)

Afraid so. Technically they’re the flagship of the Red
Sox network though weekday _afternoon_ games and Wed.
night games run on WEEI instead. (You may recall in 2007
Howie’s show got pre-empted quite a bit by Red Sox
spring training). We have had to put up with the last half
hour of Howie’s show being taken off WRKO because they have
to run the Sox pre-game (but not on Wednesdays). WCRN
wasn’t carrying the pre-game so they’re presented as an
alternative.

But now these two games have been pushed back an hour
because the Sox don’t want a conflict with the Celtics.
(Celts will air on WEEI, but the Sox want THEIR game
over by 9, etc.)

Keep in mind:
—WRKO program director Jason Wolfe also runs WEEI
and is quite familiar with sports and no doubt
wants them on WRKO, too
—many talk stations find that after 7 pm there isn’t
as much of an audience for talk, so they run sports
instead and try to pick up THAT audience.
Savage does OK on WRKO but Sox do even better (ratings).
As it is, they run Savage on tape delay after the game.

And so we’re stuck with the flagship station of the Howie
network having to pre-empt him for the Sox!

Jeff Beatty should get some equal time on the show. I truly don’t see any reasons for Howie Carr to really hate Jeff Beatty because Jeff is a very conservative Republican running for Kerry’s seat.

Tue ping. Reminder above about WRKO going to Sox pregame
at 5:30, and WCRN exits at 6 for Sox. This will happen
again on Thu; due to Red Sox games being pushed back what with
Celts starting at 9

Thanks to rival, Kerry set for summer among commoners
By Howie Carr | Wednesday, June 11, 2008 | http://www.bostonherald.com

This is John Forbes Kerry’s worst nightmare: He’s going to have to spend the summer campaigning . . . on the mainland.

Fall River, Chicopee, Haverhill, Lynn, Fitchburg - not a single one of those sweaty cities has any windsurfing worth a damn, not to mention a Ducati motorcycle dealer, damn, but Liveshot is going to spend the next three months pressing the flesh in those wretched burgs, searching in vain for a proper nouvelle cuisine brassiere while enduring the foul breath of the plebeians . . .

Stand by, Sen. Kerry, for an endless schedule of kielbasa festivals, parades, motorcycle rallies, town concerts, fireworks displays, questionnaires from special-interest groups and maybe even, gulp, a televised debate or two. Kerry’s already had to endure a Celtics [team stats] playoff game. Instead of the Inn at Wauwinet, this summer Kerry will be dining at Coney Island Hot Dog in Worcester. Next thing you know, some beer-guzzling peasant in a No. 12 Patriots jersey is going to be asking him about . . . baseball.

Lovey, does “Manny Ortiz” still play for the Red Sox ?

And Liveshot knows who is responsible for this living hell that he now must endure all the way to the primary Sept. 16. It is Ed O’Reilly. The Gloucester lawyer will be on the ballot against him in the Democratic primary.

Ed O’Reilly. How dare this Hibernian parvenu dare to run against John F. Kerry, America’s Gigolo? How dare 22.8 percent of the delegates to the state convention vote for this, this . . . arriviste?

That phrase in the first paragraph, “on the mainland,” that comes from O’Reilly. He used it when I was talking to him the other night. He’s got Kerry’s number all right. He’s a bit of a moonbat, I suppose, but when you get somebody who’s running against Liveshot who’s willing to play the class card, I can overlook a lot.

He knows how to push the buttons that will drive Kerry crazy, which is what is going to wreck Liveshot’s summer. There won’t be much time for Kerry on the Let It Be, just because O’Reilly wouldn’t let it be. Why, O’Reilly is even ready to talk about Naushon Island, the personal preserve of the Forbes family.

“He always says he was raised on the Cape,” O’Reilly says. “Yeah, he was raised on this island, which if you or I take a little skiff across the water and try to land on that island, people are going to come out onto the beach and tell us we’re trespassing.”

O’Reilly says, about five weeks ago, he was leaving a Democratic meeting at the Hudson Portuguese Club when he ran into his opponent arriving. Here is his recollection of the conversation:

O’Reilly: “I guess we’ll be seeing a lot of each other.”

Kerry: “Not for long, I hope.”

Sorry, Liveshot, you lose!

“The bottom line is, he’s arrogant,” O’Reilly says. “The rules don’t apply to him. He announces, there’s a thousand-dollar minimum to attend, if you want to go to the private reception it’s $2,300. Do you know how many people I talk to who say the only place they’ve ever seen him is at the airport? . . . He flies down to Bali to give a speech on global warming - how many gallons of fuel do you think that used, just so he could say he delivered a speech?”

I’m sure O’Reilly is nowhere in the polls right now, but this is a perfect opportunity for mischief - this could become a Massachusetts version of Operation Chaos, the meddling of local Republicans in a Democratic primary, the way Rush Limbaugh tried to keep Hillary Clinton alive through April and May.

“John Kerry,” O’Reilly continued, “will go whichever way the wind blows for his own political advantage.”

I propose a series of 10 pre-primary debates, the first one to be held on, where else, Naushon Island.

Howie gives him credit for “Manny Ortiz” when he clearly said “Or-TEZ”

Liveshot is a fool.

Well, I'm an Independent (or Unenrolled, as we say in MA) -- O'Reilly sounds well worth a primary vote, even if he is a moonbat on policy -- I hope he has plenty of money to run a well-publicized campaign! :)

Then I'll vote Republican, of course, in the general!

To: maryz; All

for Ingraham fans; kind of like the situation with Howie
last year (benched by her employer, only in Laura’s case
I don’t know if she can be forced back on against her will)

http://www.lauraingraham.com
IMPORTANT NOTE TO LAURA INGRAHAM SHOW LISTENERS
Reports are circulating in the press that I “took a leave of absence” or walked out on my radio show. As I wrote in this space earlier this week, that is false. The decision to remove the Laura Ingraham Show from the airwaves was made unilaterally by Talk Radio Network as a tactic in contract negotiations, against my will and over my protest. Additionally, any notion that I am leaving radio is also completely false. After all my years on the air, you know that I would never voluntarily abandon you during such a critical time for our country. Power to the People.

Howie is so right, though.

His idea of a great summer is to spend the entire time windsurfing and making the rounds among the island elites.

Now he’s got to run a campaign in the Democrat primary, and hopefully a longer and more involved one in the general election.
