Amber Alert my @$$. This is a non-custodial parent seizing custody, not a stranger abduction. When the Amber Alert system was set up they swore up, down, sideways, and all round Robin Hood’s barn that it would NOT be used for this.
Regardless of the circumstances, this precious child is caught in a mess and only You know the extent of the danger He faces. We pray that not one hair on his head would be harmed and that he would be returned safely. Work Your will in the lives of these parents so that Colin can know peace and security. Yeah, not but 15 minutes ago I heard another Amber Alert here in San Diego. Suspect described as the father of the two missing boys.
This kind of crap just feeds the paranoia that children are being snatched from their bedrooms every day and that it's no longer safe to let your kids outside.
Statutory Shared parenting/'equal physical custody guidelines' is a crucial part of the Pro-Family movement.
Assuming this fellow is a fit parent, it's Tragic what people feel forced to do in desperation.
Right said. I don't even bother with these anymore because it seems like every one of them is a non-custodial parent taking the child. Why should a nationwide alert be sounded because of a custody dispute?

The father of those two boys shot their mother about 12 times, in front of them. She’s in critical condition. They found his black truck abandoned in Lancaster. He’s probably on his way to Mexico.

Well, they might have wanted to include that little detail in the Amber Alert. Nonetheless, this is exceptional. Most AAs are non-violent, parental abductions and hardly breaking news.
