Christian publisher Zondervan is facing a $60 million federal lawsuit filed by a man who claims he and other homosexuals have suffered based on what the suit claims is a misinterpretation of the Bible.

The passage from the Vulgate in Latin that you posted mentions "neque" which I gather means "neither" and then lists three classes of people, none of which sounds like it refers to homosexuals: fornicarii, idoles servientes, adulteri.

Sounds like fornicators, servants of idols, adulterers.

Anybody speak Latin out there?

This guy is representing himself. His complaint consists of nine handwritten pages of semi-legible, semi-literate crap. He’s also requested that the court appoint counsel to represent him pro bono.

I’m no Scripture scholar, but I was taught by several. One told us in class that the most accurate translation for the Greek word St. Paul uses, most often translated as “sodomites” or “homosexuals,” was m@#$%&f@#$%&s.

That is such a descriptive word, arsenokoites; hard to ‘mistranslate’. It just depends on how ‘family friendly’ any particular Version’s translators wanted to be.

What a crock (and this is obviously comming..the Anti-Christian Crudade). Those whom follow CHRIST-Remember to pray for your ~enemies~ (God forgave us when we were His enemies not covered by His Blood!!~). It is their Rebellion against God, and their Pride that attacks those of you living for The Truth, and refusing to capitulate to acceptance of evil “as good”.

Frankly, I would welcome this lawsuit. We should pray it's long and drawn out with plenty of publicity. They are the ones that will have to endure testimony after testimony of the meanings of dozens of verses. It should be covered like they do Madonna or Britney, night after night.

Each night we could read and discuss the verses that clearly state God says they are an abomination. It would be a better Bible study than most Christians get in church on Sunday.

All of the misery and suffering that this man has in his life can be traced to one line in a certain Bible. It has nothing to do with his own choices and actions. If Zondervan had edited this passage before printing that particular Bible, his life would have been wonderful.
