I just called and said "There's a Republican revolt going on int the House Chamber and I wasn't seeing much coverage of it." I got a run around on it. Was told several times "There are no cameras on now. Cameras are not allowed." I objected, politely, that the story could still be covered.

He seemed mildly irritated that I would question that and asked if I wanted to talk to (name garbled) and I said yes. Got a phone tree that led to leaving a recorded message. I did...

"There's a Republican revolt going on in the House Chamber. I understand that the cameras are turned off. You can still cover the story. Thank you."

Agree with all you say, but would offer this minor modification:

Value is the perceived balance of Supply and Demand

IOW, not actual supply and demand, but what appears to be the balance between S&D. That's why certain rumors tend to raise the price for a while. Also why Congress and the President TALKING about removing the government obstacles to domestic drilling helped to lower the price by 15% in a short period of time. Were there other factors? Yes, but . . .

That is an indication that cracks are appearing in Dem solidarity on the drilling issue - not to mention Madam's botox. Pelosi leaves town barely in control of her worker bees, most of whom are now in a position of having to defend their vote to avoid taking action on oil drilling until after a 5 week recess.

That 5 week recess also gives Pelosi 5 weeks to get her worker bees back in line in the hive.
