It has the makings of international intrigue. Less than two weeks before the Democratic National Convention a man has been found dead in a Denver hotel room with a container of what authorities initially suspect to be the deadly poison cyanide.
Adding to the intrigue is that the dead man, Saleman Abdirahman Dirie, 29, appears to be from outside the U.S. No passport was found on Dirie, who is believed to have entered the country from Canada.
A large container of a white powdery substance was found in the man's room on the fourth floor of the Burnsley Hotel at 10th and Grant.
Tests are now being done by the Denver Police Crime Lab to determine exactly what the substance is. The tests could take days.
It is not clear if the man died from the substance or some other cause.
Denver police are leading the investigation of the man's death. The FBI and other governmental agencies, including the Joint Terrorism Task Force, are assisting in the probe. Hazardous materials assistance has included the Colorado State Patrol and the Colorado National Guard.
FBI Special Agent in Charge James Davis told CBS 4 that nothing so far has been found to link the case to terrorism or the coming convention.
The investigation is continuing.

Excellent connecting. Hope someone in the DPD knows how to google.
The Italy attempt has several men involved. Authorities in Denver had better be seizing all surveillance camera footage in and around the hotel, and the convention center, to see who this guy might have hooked up with.

They are too impatient for incremental change. Theyve wanted the revolution for 80+ years. Yeah. They're still mad that Russia had theirs first.

Dead 'victim' Saleman Abdirahman Dirie ... Foul play is not suspected. The FBI says it is assisting in the investigation.
Let's see, an Islamic sounding name, died from some deadly poison in his possession, in the city where the democraps are planning to hold a convention ... FBI involved, perp, er victim may have been trying to get a job at a major convention center. Nah, nothing hewre. Move along.

Yup, he must be one of those muslim Norwigians. Don't laugh--I found one.
"It's wrong of the Islamic Council to wait for the "verdict" from the fatwa council in such an important case. By not saying 'no' to death penalties for gays, it shows attitudes that conflict with both democratic and humanitarian values," says Sara Azmeh Rasmussen. She is the only openly lesbian Muslim in Norway.
From this article.
Cheers!

I've made the decision to vote for McCain too, BunnySlippers. But I'm gonna hate myself in the morning. :) I'm afraid I might barf on the way out of the polling place. Fortunately I really don't have to. McCain will win Texas, regardless of my voting for him or not. I can' leave those circles unfilled, or "throw my vote away" for a third party. Just as I through it away on my first choice in the Primary, who had already dropped out of the race by the time Texas got to vote.

Didnt Zawahwhatisname just give directions, in English from Pakisatan, a language he has never used before? Zawahiri?
He speaks English. Here he is in 1982, ranting in English from an Egyptian cage, having been pulled in the dragnet following Anwar Sadat's assassination:

Hazardous materials assistance has included the Colorado State Patrol and the Colorado National Guard Generally the Guard is not called out unless some Homeland Security threat is at least suspected. I'm sure the Colorado State Patrol, and even the Denver PD, has plenty of resources than can determine what the "white powdery substance" is, and an ME that can tell, very quickly, if the death was from cyanide poisoning. If both the cause of death and the "large container" of a "white powdery substance" both turn out to be cyanide, what we have is, at minimum, a case of SJS, and more likely something a bit less than sudden.
