In a sharp turnaround, Republican John McCain has opened a 5-point lead on Democrat Barack Obama in the U.S. presidential race and is seen as a stronger manager of the economy, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.

McCain leads Obama among likely U.S. voters by 46 percent to 41 percent, wiping out Obama's solid 7-point advantage in July and taking his first lead in the monthly Reuters/Zogby poll.

I wish this had happened later as Hillary's people will now try to take the nomination away from Obamanation.

Looks like Obamas inexperience is not selling to the non teleprompter crowd.

I wish this had happened later, now Obama might put Hillary on the ticket.

Will McCain snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory by nominating a lame Veep? That’s my fear.

Rasmussen and now even Reuters (*cough* lefties *cough*) have Mac ahead. I guess the actual numbers look even better.

No, I think it's good that buyer's remorse and anxiety will be the theme of the convention. Obama will be the nominee but will be weakened, not strengthened at Denver.

Doubtful. I he hasn't already chosen his Veep by now he's even lamer than I thought.

Obama’s worth was bid up far beyond his true value.

Obama has the stink of a loser.

The question is, what are the Democrat Superdelegates going to do about it? Are they going to ride this train wreck right off the rails, or are they going to switch tracks?

Do they have the guts to go with Hillary?

Denver is going to be fun to watch!

Hillary's people will now try to take the nomination away from Obamanation.

If they do this, there will be riots in the inner cities which could cause hundreds of dollars worth of damage.

Ah, but we can dream. Dream that he chose, a few insiders knew the choice, and now the numbers are telling him he’s falling like a stone. He switches to Hillary. Word gets out. “Eagleton II!” the Post hollers. :)

“I wish this had happened later as Hillary’s people will now try to take the nomination away from Obamanation.”

Let that happen. The leftists will be so PO’ed, that Hillary won’t have a chance. No way.

“Ok Barry, you can nominate me but if I beat McCain your kind is still relegated to the plantation, get it.” —A crystal rectangular ashtray thrown just over the right shoulder of Obama to make aware the seriousness of it all—

Comment:

I think Hilarius negatives would kill the ticket.

Zogby
He retained the support of more than 90 percent of black voters.

Blacks should be worried because it looks like they will never learn that the Democrats are using them on the DNC plantation.

Given that Zogby has a history of using “sauce” to skew the polls toward the RATS, I am willing to bet that this gap is even larger.

...not including any “Bradley Effect”. (Then again, this is Reuters, so it may be just as inaccurate as polls showing McCain 12 points behind. But at least Obambi’s people must have wet their panties when they woke up this morning and read this.)

I told people on Saturday night that there would be an 8 point swing after McCain totally thrashed Obama at Saddleback Church. The three point Obama lead has become a 5 point deficit.
