No wonder we have the crappy out of touch big gov’t we have. 37 million viewers with Palin and 38 million with obama out of 300 million people? Biggest thing to happen to this country in years ( a woman and a black guy on the ticket) That’s a crying shame.

Just goes to show people don’t care what their future gov’t will or should look like.

Hopefully those 37 million will vote for Palin.

Very briefly, I hope.

Exactly.

There is a Palin Corollary to the Ann Coulter rule in effect.

This will undoubtedly move the needle. But McCain’s speech is tonight and the rolling numbers won’t be really in until sometime next week.

The NFL game tonight could be a killer for McCain. That and Obama on O'Reilly are big distractions.

I wonder if this included the DishNetwork channel they set up for the convention. I watched on that because I could not stand FNC talking over all the speaches.

"Does anyone actually believe polls at this point in the election?"

We are just now getting to the time where the polls will begin to be more meaningful, particularly movement from period to period within each poll and the "mega" picture of all the more reliable polls taken roughly together. In a week or so, we will see the effect of the Repub convention (hoping for a nice, BIG "Sarah bounce"). Also I really would like to see the current, 15-percentage-point Obama advantage in my state of Iowa ERASED. It makes me ashamed.

Its not just that. People would immediately begin to ask: why do they want Palin debating Obama and not Biden? Obviously, the knee jerk response from the MSM would be: Its because they’re afraid of Joe Biden!

Well that may or may not be. But what does it say for Barack Obama, their presidential nominee, if the GOP thinks they stand a better chance against him in a debate than the VP Biden?

It makes Obama look like the weakling on the ticket.

Wonder how many from the Gulf Coast were without a TV this week compared to last?

Excellent point. That would probably have given Sarah several million more viewers than what Obama received.

Aren’t they great pictures.

The only problem with Sarah is what great pictures do we want to use?

Becki, what is the Dish channel for the coverage?

Thanks

How do they come up with these numbers? I watched last night but I didn’t tell them.

LOL! Okay, then it's 37,244,001. Oh, wait....I didn't tell them either. 37,244,002.

Nielsen also noted that 19.5 million women watched Wednesday night, 4.9 million more than a week ago for the Democratic convention

Wow. That might mean the potential of 4.9 million more votes. Amazing! (AND I'll bet those watching loved what they saw and were surprised and amazed. Watching is one thing, being won over is another.)

Proposing that OurMama debate Obama
is an idea that could have legs.

There are 3 “presidentials” scheduled, right?

The McCain campaign, rolling hot dice, could publicly suggest that the 2nd debate
pit Sarah against Obama ...
claiming with a straight face, “After all a loud portion of the country
may think Governor Palin is unqualified.
HOW BETTER TO FIND OUT than to pit her
against the master?”

From last night:

Bristol Palin shows her engagement ring. Levi Johnson, her fiance also sported a ring... a tattoo of 'Bristol' on his finger.

All Barry’s attack dogs did is cause a lot of people to tune in expecting to see The Palin Family Freak Show. Organizing such smear freaks is his biggest life accomplishment. Can you say ‘back-fire’ bro? Waiting those 24 hours to see how the smear tactics would be perceived bit him; alas, the high road not taken...

Rush said it best. If there is poop in a bag on the ground, the Dems are sure to stomp on it.
