NEW YORK -- News executives Thursday tried to shake off the excoriations of the media emanating from the Republican National Convention, defending their coverage of GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin as responsible and evenhanded.

______

"I really do take exception to it," NBC News President Steve Capus said. "These terms get thrown around in an awfully cavalier way, and they're incredibly damaging. We're in the business where words matter, and those are awfully, awfully strong accusations."

They are Democrats and they work for Democrat organizations. It would be naive to expect anything better of them.

When ever you talk to reporters from these organizations, you are talking to the enemy. I’d say better to learn to talk over the tops of them. Deliver your speech the way you want to, and ignore their stupid questions. Use radio, use internet, even use their media but make them discuss what you want to discuss or freeze them out.

They’ll attack you if you do that, but they will also attack you if you don’t. They are going to attack you if you are breathing. So make them cover you, but don’t feed their stupid “narrative”. If you find reporters who are fair, or news organizations who are fair, give them access. No one else.

Dear Alphabet news services (NBC,CBS,CNN,ABC),

Palin's message was from the heart of the _real_ American people. Your news is so tainted, socialist, politically correct, pro-Democratic, that even the lowly are sick of it.

There is very little news but plenty of hiding the truth and mis-leading on important issues.

Don't tell that to my editing in Journalism teacher. He had me subscribe to Poynter (news think tank) RSS feed by Romensko and the New York times for my class. If people were not consuming media before the class (i.e. Fox news or other non-MSM media) then they are going to be sucked in so quick (If they weren't already so, a lot come in liberal... actually I did too... so there is hope). I Love the guy, but I hate that it seems most of the people in my department are so left-wing.

ABC, CBS, & NBC/MSNBC, CNN are all nazijournalists with the NYT, LAT, and Chicago Tribune as enablers to their cause. They resent being called what they really are because it will lose them more and more eyeballs and that means less money for them to spew forth their unmitigated lies and filth. I say “good riddance to bad rubbish!” and can't wait for their collective folded tents to crush them all. Other than that, they are o.k.! :0 )

Fox is highly over-rated by the average Freeper. They may be my top choice as far as MSM goes, but thats not saying much. They are into sensationalism and hype, and in my opinion, are only conservative leaning because they know that was the untapped market. Other than Hume, the rest of them can bugger off.

I know. I’m so sick to death of lefties acting like Fox is the John Birch News Network or something when all it is, is that their leftist bias is less severe than everyone else’s. Like “balance” is defined as all Marxism, all the time. So inconsistent with logic and the reality of the rest of the business it just pisses me off.

Time to cancel their newsrags and cheesy magazines.

The mediacrats are trying to pretend the backlash is coming “from the RNC” instead of from a thoroughly pissed-off public. And, of course, they’re also pretending that their viciously partisan reporting is as pure as the driven snow...

Hey I Love my Mac! (then again I a communication major, but that’s not the point). Macs have been taken over by the News industry because of the Apple culture and due to the computers being attacked in the news networks due to viruses. I actually think they had a good point when getting them. Despite all the pride and arrogance like commercials of Macs, they really do work well. This coming from a known computer abuser (my friends still can’t believe my computer is alive).

Didn’t Gov. Palin say “I put it on eBay”? That’s clearly correct irrespetive of whether the final sale was made through another channel.

Journalism attracks liberals... because sadly they think being a journalist will change the world. A true journalist reports the facts as they see them, yes, they can try not to be biased, but all of us, every one of us brings bias to the table.

The problem in journalism today is that the bias is so incredibly one sided, and so permiated, that the people like editors who claim to try to keep things from being biased, can’t even see the bias in their reporting.

The fact that the press went after an nationally humiliated a 17 year old girl to harm a Republican, when they turned a blind eye to a Democrat they all knew was having an affair and a love child, and only came to the story after dragged there by the Enquirer tells you all you need to know. They were on Palin in less than 48 hours, but turned a blind eye to Edwards for over a year.

They are so in the tank for Fauxbama its rediculous. Now, I don’t care if they are, but at least honest about it and stop trying to pretend you are fair and evenhanded etc etc etc.

No one is buying that clap trap anymore. When the press wants a womans groups opinion, do they go to the largest womans organization in the country? Nope, they go to NOW.. a group whos membership is laughable anymore, far smaller than the largest group.. but that largest group isn’t liberal.. so they’ll never consult them for a story or opinion. Etc Etc Etc.

Liberalism in its modern form (not classical liberalism, thats a completely different beast) cannot survive if it is challenged and examined, its not based on logical conclusions, but emotional ones. Its indefensible by logic, so logical examination of it cannot and will not occur.

The corrupt axis of MSM/Hollywood/Academia are all working for the DNC.

The MSM are political orgs, who hire Dim political hacks pretending to be journalists, and run 24/7/365 political campaigns against Republicans.

It is their job, their only goal is to get Dim elected.

He must be talking about all the horrid, disgusting smears against Sarah Palin.....

WHAT, you mean he's only whining about criticism of the shallow and vicious "news" media????? Screw you, Mr. Capus. You and your fellow reptiles deserve to be driven out of business. Talk about chutzpah!! If words (or ideas) really mattered to them they could not mis-report the news in such slovenly and dishonest ways.....
