LIPSTICK : John McCain campaign ad
This is a video response to Barack : Calling Sarah "a PIG" ?
That was a stupid comment from Obama. I for one will give him the benefit of the doubt. Can anybody truly be this stupid to mean this comment in that way? If in the next few weeks he makes similar gaffes, then he would confirm that he is a pig himself. He would be done, and a lot of women would permanently find a home in the Republican party for the first time.
The rat idea for Sonny Perdue was brilliant!!! Can we have a man in a rat costume show up at Obama’s campaign stops???
Laura Ingraham on radio now is taking the opposite tack, saying we don’t need to go down that road, women know who they are, no response ads (I know, the campaign already has one out there), we’re better, stronger than that.
Yeah that’s probably right way to go. I just thought it would help reminding the Hillary voters (all 18 million) of what Hil expereinced running again Obama. I think we just got a lot more of them yesterday, for sure.
Come on now guys. NObama is just treating women like the muslim that he is. Shouldn’t we celebrate diversity? sarc/off
The only thing I want to know is was that line in the speech notes or not, if it was then he knew exactly what he was saying, if it was an off the cuff remark then he can argue that everyone took it wrong.
No way would anyone with half a brain would write that and not intentionally smear Gov. Palin after she injected the lipstick phrase into her acceptance speech.
He just lost a chunk of women voters with that remark either way.
Look, you are correct about John McShamnesty. However, do you think that Barrack Obama will be any better on the immigration issue or worse?
Yes, he was wrong on the immigration issue, at least he admitted it and said that the American people don’t believe the politicians will secure the border. He now says he will work to secure the border then work on what to do with the illegal aliens here. Is he lying? Maybe, but at least we have a fighting chance with him. We know exactly what Obama is going to do.
I may not have voted for McCain if he had picked a snoozer like Romney. However, I feel like maybe, just maybe he will concentrate on doing the things I like about McCain (getting at government waste and being strong in the war on terror) and not the things I don’t like (McCain/Feingold, McCain/Kennedy).
Grow up the choices are as follows:
1) McCain/Palin
2) Obama/Biden
3)put your head in the sand and don't vote
Make your choice! I trust you know the ramifications of the choice you make so I won't need to educate you.
Good luck.

What I don’t understand is why he couldn’t say if you cover a wolf in wool, it’s just a wolf in sheep’s clothing kind of comment. Then it would actually portray a more agreeable message with what the media has been saying ..
Both Obama AND Biden used lipstick quotes yesterday. It was deliberate, staged, planned, talking points. They are trying, obviously to cause a stir....and they got it! They will GET it in November, for sure, for sure!
I agree with Laura....keep running a positive campaign, that is what is doing it. Let Obama and Biden continue to attack this woman...their sexism will show one way or another.
Capitolism in whatever form beats Communism in any form.
Better DEAD than RED
It’s not only sexist, it’s racist, too. “Pig” is used by blacks to denigrate whites, because of the pale-pink color of honkies’ skin.
I dunno. I saw Obama’s remarks, and if they were directed at Palin, it was subtle enough so that they could replay the lines and say: “Huh? Who, US? What are you talking about?” thereby making US seem like we’re over-reacting... which, in turn, would give them license to say just about anything they please, because they could then point to us and say: “See? There they do, over-reacting again...”
I think we should have just ignored it, taken the high road, and let the media replay it for the public. Women, in particular, are not going to like the sound of Obama saying that.
“There they do...” above should be “There they go...” (but you KNEW that already :-)).
We are at war... we are not playing a cricket match!

I have watched the clip several times- if you notice Obama rubs his hand over his eye right before he says it- a real look of indecision. I think he had to think about taking the risk before saying it. That to me says he did mean for it to have a double meaning- the audience “got” what he meant, lib posters on the net “got” it too and they loved it. I do think he thought he could get away with it, he has done such things before and made it work. Part of the backlash is also what goes around comes around. Obama has called everyone that questioned him a racist and won’t allow people to use his middle name and other tactics- honestly that is just begging for things like this.
I don’t even think Republicans are the main force behind the huge backlash- I think women who already felt slighted by him- Hillary supporters and others are the ones that made a big deal out of this. They claim he has been sexist all along and that this is further proof. Honestly I didn’t even listen to the man when he was running against Hillary so I don’t know if they are right about his sexist treatment of Hillary or not.
This man has angered a lot of groups for someone that needs votes- he has angered Christians, gun owners, women, small town people, etc., etc. He is creating his own backlash by ticking off so many people.
They should have vetted him.
Same here. My Liberal sister supported him at first, but was put off by the way Obama and the media demeaned her.
In a way it would be good if she were Jewish; then he'd be dumb enough to come up with an anti-semetic zinger and alienate some more voters.
