NYT editor responds to McCain camp broadside

Michael Calderone:

NY Times executive editor Bill Keller responded, in an e-mail to Politico, to Steve Schmidt's contention that the paper is pulling for Obama, and that "it is today not by any standard a journalistic organization."

"The New York Times is committed to covering the candidates fully, fairly and aggressively. It's our job to ask hard questions, fact-check their statements and their advertising, examine their programs, positions, biographies and advisors. Candidates and their campaign operatives are not always comfortable with that level of scrutiny, but it's what our readers expect and deserve."

As John has pointed out the NY Slimes is not a journalistic place. It is a witches brew of lies, spam, and treason against America and those who dare to challenge the libs.

Pictured below are some of the whacked out affirmative action liars with their hero, Jayson Blair plus their maggot infected leader, Pinch. These biased liars pose as op ed writers for the NY Slimes writing hit pieces about Sarah posing as opeds and editorials:

/>

A serious pop quiz. Are you helping to finance the NY Slimes and its attacks against Sarah Palin?

About one year ago, Morgan Stanley unloaded a steamy smelling pot of NY Slimes stock from one of its mutual funds.

Still many left wing controlled mutual funds own pot fulls of the stinking NY Slimes stock. Is one of your mutual funds wasting your retirement savings to keep the Ny Slimes afloat? If so, you are helping to fund the Ny Slimes campaign against Sarah Palin and America.

Here is something, we can all do this week to start eliminating the NY Slimes as a threat to our nation.

We can do it at our computers and do it in less than 1 hour. Besides sending a severe warning to the NY Slimes and the mutual fund companies which buy and own NY Slimes stock. We will improve our precious investment capital being wasted on NY Slimes stock.

If a few thousand freepers did this simple action this week and a few thousand new freepers, friends and relatives each following week, we will have a terminal impact on the vile NY Slimes acts like their trashing of Sarah Palin.

Please send this simple "how to" to your blogs, friends, relatives and email lists. This action will serve as a cannon shot across the bows fo the other Dinosaur Liberal Fish Wraps re sedition will not be tolerated any more.

INSTRUCTIONS FROM Grampa Dave:

Want to smash the NY Slimes?
Check your mutual funds to see if they own NYT, the NY Slimes Stock

How many of us own mutual funds which own NY Slimes stock and even worse have increased their NYT holdings this year.

NYT investment by a mutual fund company is a terrible investment re the dollar loss in Stock value the last 2 years. Those investments are an attempt to keep the NY Slimes afloat with our mutual fund $'s.

Now it is very evident that the NY Slimes is an agent and abettor of the al Qaeda Serial Killers. The Slimes is endangering the lives of our families, friends, innocent Americans and every warrior of ours.

Go to this link to see if your mutual fund owns NYT.

http://moneycentral.msn.com/ownership?Symbol=NYT http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor/invsub/ownership/ownership.asp

When the MS Money stock home page comes up, enter NYT into the search area and hit enter and the following screen will show up re ownership of the NY Slimes stock:

The New York Times Company: Ownership Information

  • Shares Outstanding 145.00 Mil

  • Institutional Ownership (%) 83.40

  • Top 10 Institutions (%) 58.60

  • Mutual Fund Ownership (%) 42.64

  • 5%/Insider Ownership (%) 7.77

  • Float (%)

Highlight the Mutual Fund Ownership and hit enter.

If thousands of Freepers, whose mutual funds own shares of NY Slimes did the following:

  1. Sell those mutual funds or trade them for funds not owning NYT.

  2. Send a letter to the fund managers and the CEO's of the mutual fund company telling them why you sold/transferred their mutual fund owning NY Slimes stock. Then demand to know why they are wasting your precious $'s on a lie based fishwrap company which is a terrible investment.

  3. Contact the SEC to investigate why this mutual fund and mutual fund company invested your $'s in one of the worse investments of the past 2 years. Was the investment of yours and others a political bailout of the NY Slimes.

  4. Send this how to re Mutual Funds with NYT stock to everyone on your email list for a wakeup call.

We might have a lot more impact than trying to boycott companies which sell to the elite liberals of NYC and advertise in the NY Slimes.

“...satire?”

My first thought was “No one could say this with a straight face.” No wonder the NYT’s circulation is in the toilet-it’s target market is drooling idiots, and there just aren’t that many, even in New York.

Dear NY Times, We appreciate your stated zeal for the aggressive pursuit of journalistic excellence. We do not believe, however, that this has been pursued evenly in this election cycle. I will set before you one example: the mortgage meltdown.

Obama is out there claiming the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac problems are rooted in lack of regulation owing to GOP control. I would submit that they are rather the result of the federal regulation passed in 2000 under HUD head Andrew Cuomo mandating that 50% of mortgages approved be granted to low-income folks - those with the highest risk of default. We felt good about ourselves at the time, but now the chickens have come home to roost.

In 2003, President Bush recognized the problem and proposed Congress pass legislation to avert the crisis on the horizon. Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) and Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT) said "no."

In 2006, Senator McCain again sounded the warning. Again it went unheeded.

And now, were you applying the same standard of aggressive fact checking to Obama as you are to his opponent, you would be calling him on this. You would also not hide the fact that former Obama advisor Jim Johnson was part of his VP selection committee. You would not gloss over his ties to former Fannie Mae CEO Franklin Raines, reported by your comrades at the Washington Post. You would not ignore former CEO Daniel Mudd's statement calling the Congressional Black Caucus the "Family" and "Conscience" of Fannie Mae. You would not obfuscate the fact that his National Finance Chairwoman, Penny Pritzker, headed a bank which specialized in subprime mortgages and cost the taxpayers $460M. In short, you would not shy away from the fact that candidate Obama is very close to the very people who helped cause the problem in the first place!

And that's just one issue!

Fortunately for you journalists at the NY Times, we in the pajamamedia are here to pick up the slack. No need to thank us, we're just putting the country first and doing our best to provide full disclosure so the electorate can make an informed decision come November.

Sincerely,

Lexinom

The NY Times is a cesspool and has been for a long, long time. They are nothing but hacks for the Democratic Party. I keep getting offers from them which I always turn down but not before giving them a piece of my mind about their bias. I always let them know that I used to subscribe but I couldn't stand the bias and canceled my subscription. This is about all I can do. I urge any others who subscribe to the Times to let them KNOW why you canceled. I doubt that it will have any effect because they are so set in their ways. If the NY Times were to go out of business, that would be a good thing.

I think it was Bush, or maybe it was Cheney, who during the 2000 presidential run was overheard on an open mike referring to a reporter from the NY Slimes as ‘a major league *sshole!

The consternation from the media over their remark was palatable and laughable, but there wasn’t anyone of them who said it wasn’t true.

Can’t remember who they referring to... Maybe somebody else can.
