Sorry but, my pessimism has nothing to do with the strategy of American' enemies or any global strategies or the consequences of not understanding those strategies.

My optimism stems from the lack of appropriate actions and retaliations from McCain towards the Obama campaign which has had a couple of successful weeks painting McCain as clueless and out of touch and as part of the problem.

Though Obama and democrats are more to blame for the problems with the mortgage mess and the credit crisis, Obama and the democrats have been successful in turning it around and blaming republicans and Bush and McCain. McCain is right now being ineffective. Period. And therein is the cause for concern.

Why the hell are you optimistic when the Repubs embrace PC? If anything your reaction should be the exact opposite.

There is no doubt that he is correct in his evaluation of leftist academics and the media in America. Barack Hussein Obama fits in here too. It is easy to see him as a destabilizer or crisis maker, and taking advantage of it too. As far as I’m concerned, FDR never fixed the economy, but it never hurt his political fortune, or that of the Democratic party.

Timing is often hard in general. For example, we were surprised that the war in Iraq went so well and we won so quickly and cleanly. Then we were surprised by the strong Jihadi resistance, foreign and domestic, within Iraq, and all the time required to mop up “dead-enders.” It seems we got the war right, but not the timing. That should be no surprise, because no one has a perfect crystal ball.

In this case Bezmenov says that he was surprised by the rapid communist progress in the US. But perhaps the next stage is going slower than he might have expected?

What was the date of the video? It does not look recent.

I realize that these principles and techniques are timeless. But some consideration must be given to when he made his predictions and to subsequent events up to the present. I would like to anticipate criticism of the video and have answers.
