Here's MY Vanity!! Doom & Gloomers take note, you are being played like a violin.
Daily Motion - Yuri Bezmenov ^ | 9/30/08 | Peasant With Pitchfork

Watch the whole video.

I've taken some heat for being so optimistic, and I'm fine with it because I understand everything that is in this video and I see good people here becoming depressed and negative.

I will continue to be positive because I know the MSM is playing psy-ops with us and this forum is one of the last bastions of freedom. You MUST watch the whole video, some of you will feel better, some of you will be ashamed of yourselves, but you will be much smarter in the end.

Ronald Reagan was a genius, he knew all of this, he knew more about the left than ANYONE and infused his good will with the nation BECAUSE of what is contained in this video.

Instead of becoming hysterical about Obama's "Ministry of Truth" in Missouri, the Obama Youth Camps, the 700 Billion Dollar Bullet we just dodged, GET YOUR HEAD STRAIGHT.

This video will clarify all of the things you see happening, you won't bother posting "when will the MSM report this and that", they never will. Understand the enemy. Please watch the whole video.

Onward and upward, that's where we're going.

Maybe I can offer a different perspective. I just watched the entire video, hat tip to Bob since I had never seen it before.

The soviet defector, in 1985, was talking about how the United States was being subverted. He talked a lot about the soviet system supporting revolution around the world and described their long term plans to topple countries. He talks about useful idiots like Ted Kennedy and Jane Fonda by name. He never mentioned Ronald Reagen, but he did mention Mondale as a Marxist, promising everything and not worrying about ever fulfilling those promises.

He had no idea that in 5 years the soviet union would be gone. He doesn't predict the collapse of the soviet empire and the freedom of millions in former soviet states. Those people in Ukraine, Poland, Checkoslavakia, etc know communism well and are very suspicious of it. That's why their leaders all flew to Georgia to support them. We have more allies against Marxism than we ever did.

We might not have a Reagen on the ticket, despite Michael Reagen's assertion that Sarah Palin is his dad reincarnated. But who knows what we'll have in eight or ten years? Imagine McCain as a placeholder for a Jindal, or whoever comes after him. Ronald Reagen over thew the largest empire in modern times without a war, rebuilt American pride and set the course for American political debate for the next two decades. He did it against the opposition of a democrat congress with much more competent leadership than they now have. He did it with a media that was much stronger, much more respected and had no competition.

The left has exposed themselves. The media has exposed themselves. Yes, education, the welfare state and the growing government are huge problems. In 1980 the Soviet Union was the biggest problem in the world. One man changed that. Keep faith. Maybe McCain, can begin the process of curtailing government growth. Maybe, with him as CIC, the republicans won't so easily forget the lesson of 2006. And maybe the next Reagen will be ready by the time McCain leaves office.

Thanks but no thanks..I'll take a pass on the gulags. I understand your point though and respect it.

It was the Japanese that bombed Pearl Harbor and that was a TOTALLY different generation, one which understood that freedom wasn't free and that we as nation had a responsibility to ourselves and our nation. Not that I was my brother's keeper, but that I had to take care of myself first and defend the liberties and principles of the country as a whole and in doing this would be taking care of others.

There is a growing minority of people in this country that no longer believe in the founding principles of this country, and another minority in the middle that can't understand them.

At some point you have to acknowledge the reality of the situation and accept that your fellow man no longer considers you the same, but instead his slave.

I'll end this on a positive note, these people will get whats coming to them.

Tony, I put a /s in there JUST FOR YOU, in case you haven’t seen Animal House with John Belushi, DAMN my instincts are good!

And, there you go right into the negativity, the youth is worthless, the country is lost. You know the Greeks said the same things about the youth, etc.

The whole point is that many people on FREE REPUBLIC are in the demoralization phase, LIKE YOU.

We all know of the problems you speak of, that’s why we’re on FR.

How many times was Reagan negative? Stop with the NEGATIVE crap. I posted my vanity because of all the negative vanities and general negative, wimp-ass tone I was seeing.

The MSM will never be our friend.

Many on the left HATE the country.

McCain is Tone Deaf, etc., etc., etc.

WE ALL KNOW THE TUNE.

If you’re constantly posting negative crap, you’re helping the enemy, we know McCain is flawed. There will be 1000 geniuses to point it out to us tomorrow on FR.

The constant drumbeat of negativity of the press has gotten to many people here, not all of them trolls, stop feeding into it, everyone.

Watch the video, get pissed, don’t help the enemy by being negative HERE ON FREE REPUBLIC, many of us come here as our only REFUGE!!

What was really relative was the prescience of the “Bailout” and the stage of “Demoralization” becoming so prevalent on this forum. I was getting sick of seeing tons of negative vanities and tons of negative posts.

Many who hate the MSM are being influenced, I know it’s hard not to, the drumbeat never stops, but I refuse to concede. Many people here who are not trolls are posting about “President Obama”, playing the role of the MSM and in essence carrying out psy-ops on the last outpost of freedom FREE REPUBLIC.

I don’t care if you are Ronald Reagan reincarnate, if you are constantly posting negative crap here and conceding the election, you’re no better than a troll, I’m not talking about you, but you get the idea, we’re all guilty of it at one time or another. Some members apparently thrive on it, I want those members to know that they doing damage, whether they have 12,000 conservative posts or not, but they just know McCain isn’t going to win.

BS, McCain is going to win in a landslide, we’re not at the point that we’re going to elect President Barack Hussein Obama and if you’re going to post doom and gloom, do it at some other forum, we’ve heard it all before, about 500 times.

Yours is one of the best posts I’ve ever read on this forum in one of the most compelling threads I’ve come across since I joined 6 years ago.

Yes, I started writing a post to Pan-Yan before but had to start over.

I was praising what you said Pan-Yan, I then went right into my tangent without the first sentence I wrote praising you. So I'm praising you now. LOL

My wife has opined of late that Free Republic is much less substantive than it used to be. There are a thousand threads a day obsessing about the latest poll numbers or whatever is on Fox News at the moment. In a lot of ways she is right. I engaged in several good discussions about Russia and Georgia a few weeks ago. The moment Governor Palin was introduced all the Georgia threads seemed to disappear. There is still good discussion going on here, but it is much quieter, buried under the “noise of the day.”

I would like to see more discussions of conservative theory, the fate of nations, the big picture. The other stuff is important too, but we shouldn’t lose sight of where our nation is headed just to throw out pithy comments about the latest Palin hit piece. I’m guilty of that at times as well. Threads like this are nice to find.

Thank you for the compliment.

"Demoralization takes 15-20 years and is basically completed in the United States."

"Destabilization takes 2-5 years. You can see quite clearly that in some areas, in such sensitive areas as defense and economy the influence of Marxist/Leninist ideas in the United States is absolutely fantastic."

"The next stage is crisis. It may take only up to 6 weeks to bring the country to the verge of crisis."

"After crisis, with a violent change of power, structure, and economy you have the period of so-called normalization. It may last indefinitely."

"This is what will happen in United States if you allow all the schmucks to bring the country to crisis, to promise people all kind of goodies, and paradise on earth, to destabilize your economy, to eliminate the principle of free market competition, and to put Big Brother government in Washington D.C."

If you are not scared by now, nothing can scare you."

Excellent and timely post.

It looks like they have us in the "crisis" stage already with the mortgage crisis and Wall Street bailout plan.

We have a lot of work to do, and we need to get started yesterday.

“As I mentioned earlier, 99% of the people involved don’t KNOW they’re involved.”

That describes one of my very best friends. I sent the link to everyone on my list tonight, but hesitated on sending it to her...I kept thinking of Yuri saying how no amount of evidence, short of the military kick in the behind would open their eyes... : /

Thank you again, BTW. I was surprised how much better I felt after watching it, laughs, to know I ‘m not nuts after all ; p and to just get down to business.

I'm a mere pup of 39, so I can't speak authoritatively of the Reagan years. But I remember Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather as icons. They were all we had, and we hung on every word. I also remember Nixon's resignation speech on the radio, which my wife says proves that even then I was was some sort of aberration (I was 5).

America has suffered greatly under a slew of judges appointed by Republicans who turned out to be liberals. Republican presidents had no choice. They appointed what they thought were stealth conservatives and hoped for the best. It's not that way anymore. There are real conservatives out there ready to take the bench. If the current crop holds true they may be Bush's greatest legacy after the War on Terror.

Places like Free Republic, Townhall.com, Drudge Report, Fox News were in their infancy ten years ago. There was no main stream media, there was just “The Media.” I don't think that it is a coincidence that the decline of the MSM coincided with the democrats losing the iron grip they held on congress for most of the 20th century. There is a real debate now, not just on between candidates for a few hours before each election, not just at rallies every fourth year. It is constant. Never have so many people had access to the truth from so many sources.

My mother is a life long democrat and firm social liberal, and we're talking about a Southern Baptist pastor's wife. She grew up with the new deal and has never let it go. But that generation is passing. The next generation has a chance if we don't abandon them. The fact that there is even the possibility of rejecting this government bailout is amazing. I wish John McCain was more of an ideologue - he had several opportunities to put Obama away during the debate, especially towards the beginning. But I think he can at least be a serviceable steward of our government until more help arrives.

Liberals are much easier to focus on a task since they readily buy the line-o-the-day. Conservatives ask questions, and therefore have to be convinced. But they can be focused. Look at the Meyers nomination, the immigration bill and the Palin choice. Now is a great opportunity for conservatives to get the message out.

I have discussions with people all the time in my office, my building, at lunch. Facts are always a conservatives friend, and it's amazing how just a few easily provable facts about Obama can change someone's outlook. I fully agree with you're preposition that this is no time for doom and gloom. We might have to put up with McCain's global warming, blame wall street B.S. for a few years, but I'd sure love to see Pelosi and Reid go sit on the back bench for a while. Even though the senate is probably out of reach, there is hope for a much more conservative house, and that could make the budget battles much more entertaining than the last couple have been.

Thank you for the compliment, and for posting this thread. It has lead to some good discussion. And maybe people who have just read through it and watched the video will gain some encouragement.

Actually we are not quite to the Crisis Stage. Definitely in Destabilization Stage though, and probably well into it - perhaps brought about by the election of WJC in 1992. Thanks to OP for posting this.

I am a bit rattled now after having watched that.

Any idea where this case stands? I haven’t heard a peep about it since the initial filing. Does anyone know if there is a hearing date, a motion, anything like that?

I don’t think it will amount to much, but it could provide a few good minutes of pop corn time.

Look at the rhetoric the word depression was being tossed around like pennies, so many have been co-opted into this frenzy.

And ONLY a 700 Billion dollar bill can save us? We can’t take ANY smaller measures?

We’re not over this “crisis” yet, we can handle any “crisis” it’s the politics that will kill us.

I’ve posted on a couple of other threads to the doom and gloomers “How can we win with the MSM....” I tell them just like we did with Reagan, Talk-Radio, the internet, e-mail, Fox News, etc.

Look at all these new toys we have since Reagan won 2 landslides, the left is nervous. The LEFT saw a golden opportunity for a MASSIVE power grab here and scared plenty of people to go along. Well, let’s say the financial crisis is going to cause the next great depression, it’s either that or we’ve been invaded by Martians. How much bigger of a power grab could it be than what we were told was IMMINENT GLOBAL ECONOMIC COLLAPSE——Unless Barney Frank writes a bill. LOLOLOLOL

Won’t it be interesting when history is written that it may have been the VANITY (how appropriate for what’s been going on here) of Nancy Pelosi killed what would have surely been American Socialilsm/Communism.

Nancy Pelosi’s unbridled arrogance saved Capitialism and Free Markets for the next 100 years. I sure hope so, I hope everyone has cooled off. They’re going to make another grab, they came close. Stay on your toes.
