So when are they going to tell women not to resist rape because they will get hurt and require medical care or worse?

When you surrender to evil don’t be surprised when you find yourself surrounded by it...

I lived in England for 2 years in the 70’s. Loved it. The countryside was beautiful and the people were just terrific.
However, even back then the socialism was beginning to take its toll on then Country and its people.
From article I have read in the past yar I doubt seriously that I would recognize the country I had lived in if I visited today.
Seems the British have just about surrender any effort to PROTECT their citizens.
They have cameras every 5 feet in the cities and may prosecute the bottom feeder that kills you but do anything to prevent it? Seems to be no. As for outside the cities it seems that they no longer have enough human being police to even respond to emergency calls. What a shame.
And now we have people that want to vote this into America. We must be insane................

It seems the millions of surveillance cameras have no effect on deterring crime.

Hey, don’t make them walk all the way to the shed. Just put a little pile of money on the front step each night when you to to bed. Also, a note to come in and help themselves to anything in the house. Leave out snacks, too.

If Winston Churchill were still alive, he’s be in jail for hate speech.

In case anybody should be wondering what an ‘allotments’ are...They are areas of land, usually owned by the local council, divided into small plots (the standard was three ‘rods’, or 90’ x 30’) and made available for a small annual rent for local people without land of their own to grow their own vegetables and fruit. The typical allotment-holder was always a retired working-class man, but when ‘grow-your-own’ becomes periodically fashionable (as in the 1970s and again now) there is wider interest. The allotment movement led directly to the ‘Dig for Victory’ campaign in the Second World War. I had one for a few years in the late 1970s, and my own plot had a distinguished history - it was where George Russell bred the Russell Lupin.

Allotments have a social life all their own, and it’s hard to think of anything wrong with them as an institution - they’re one of those early-20th century philanthropic ideas which actually works, and have changed little since their inception. However, they are usually on the edge of town away from residential areas, there’s nobody around at night, and that does make them vulnerable to vandalism. In most cases allotment-holders have to supply their own shed if they want one: but occasionally, as presumably in the case described in the article, they’re supplied by the council landlord and come with the rent.

A council is urging allotment holders not to lock their sheds in case thieves damage the structures while breaking in.

I'm betting they still have locks and security at Number 10 Downing Street.

This is such a great idea. But let’s not just stop there. It is only proper that we leave our car doors unlocked and the keys in the ignition.

What’s the next step? Just turn over all of your valuables to “The Council” for safekeeping?

Cripes.
