FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) -- The Lee County Sheriff's Office reports that 29-year-old Jonathon Guabello and his girlfriend returned home from a bar early Wednesday morning. The girlfriend told deputies that Guabello had wanted to get intimate, but she wanted to go to sleep.
When Guabello became irate, authorities say the girlfriend went to a spare bedroom, and several minutes later she heard two gunshots. She told deputies Guabello came into her room and threatened her. He then stumbled into the kitchen and knocked himself unconscious.
Guabello was charged with threatening violence and firing a weapon in an occupied dwelling. He was being held on $100,000 bail.
I’m actually surprised that’s even a felony, as opposed to something you get a ticket for or something like that. Maybe it has to do with the threatening violence part.
From the account, it doesn't sound like he was able to start anything that could be interrupted, so I'd consider this more a case of being glock-blocked from outset.

I applaud your terrible puns, sir. =)
Florida has a 10-20-LIFE LAW......
See, Alice?!!!
“He then stumbled into the kitchen and knocked himself unconscious”
Do papers have anyone capable of a coherent sentence. I am assuming that he stumbled in the kitchen, fell, and was knocked unconscious, but he may have stumbled into the kitchen, grabbed a frying pay, and knocked himself out.
have lived here almost my whole life and it amazes me the stories we generate here in florida.....GIVE US YOUR TIRED YOUR HUNGRY YOUR POOR AND YES YOUR MORONS.....
I am struggling a bit with the part about firing a weapon in an occupied building. If you fire it in the building, are you not also occupying it? Seems no way out of this charge and I suspect revenue enhancement.
Well, it could have been worse - he could have shot another appendage that was at the center of the ruckus.
Good point. I wonder if there’s an explicit exemption written in for indoor shooting ranges, or at least a process to go through to get one, or if they’re expected to just take their chances and rely on the common sense of the LEO’s.
Wow! Is it true what they say about the size of noses...
It is interesting that they charged him with this being that the law outlaws firing a weapon INTO an occupied building.
I can't believe that this comes from someone flying the CA flag!
Premature emasculation?
Why wouldn’t his arm have sex with him?
If only she’d allowed him to fire his other weapon, all would be well. ;-(
not gonna post it nope not gonna do it.
They'd grown apart, and it had started seeing another man.
