Can you not read? The United States did not recognize dual citizenship until TEN years ago. When Obama was born the US did not recognize it. That is direct from the US Government site. Canada only recognized dual citizenship 20 years ago. In Indonesia you had to renounce your citizenship and only be Indonesian to attend their schools.

Excuse me but you conveniently ignored the part about traveling to Pakistan on something other then a US passport in 1981 when he was 20.

Indonesia and Kenya still do not recognize a dual citizenship.

You ever thought of researching before posting?

Stanley found Doctor Livingstone.

Stanley Anne found racism and bigotry.

This question needs be asked, but McCain won’t ask it.

He visited in 1981 when Pakistan was still on the do not visit list. By the middle of 82 or 83, they were allowing people to start coming back into the Country thanks to efforts by the Reagan Administration. You have to remember the Carter years of debacle with these countries.

Know more about what the State Department was doing in the early 80’s then I did before and if I never knew it would have been fine. Reagan years opened Pakistan back up, but in the summer of 1981, nothing had changed — Afghanistan and Pakistan were on the blacklist.

Does that mean one of the secretaries of the states can demand the proof? FWIW,the Secretary of State for WV is a Republican who has no further plans for political office. It might be interesting if Obama was thrown off the ballot in a state. The media couldn’t ignore that.

Perhaps his real name is Legion. - Mark 5:1-20

Nope. We know that's not the case. He has a plain ol' Muslim-Arab-African name.

And please do not associate Us with the the likes of him again. :)

Jesus, if this is true then the race is void and McCain wins. FOX should get a news crew over to Kenya now, hire a team of investigators, and work this until its answered.

You have me reading again. Lord love you.

The first sentence of § 1 of the Fourteenth Amendment contemplates two sources of citizenship and two only: birth and naturalization.1230 This contemplation is given statutory expression in § 301 of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952,1231 which itemizes those categories of persons who are citizens of the United States at birth; all other persons in order to become citizens must pass through the naturalization process. The first category merely tracks the language of the first sentence of § 1 of the Fourteenth Amendment in declaring that all persons born in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof are citizens by birth.1232 But there are six other categories of citizens by birth. They are: (2) a person born in the United States to a member of an Indian, Eskimo, Aleutian, or other aboriginal tribe, (3) a person born outside the United States of citizen parents one of whom has been resident in the United States, (4) a person born outside the United States of one citizen parent who has been continuously resident in the United States for one year prior to the birth and of a parent who is a national but not a citizen, (5) a person born in an outlying possession of the United States of one citizen parent who has been continuously resident in the United States or an outlying possession for one year prior to the birth, (6) a person of unknown parentage found in the United States while under the age of five unless prior to his twenty-first birthday he is shown not to have been born in the United States, and (7) a person born outside the United States of an alien parent and a citizen parent who has been resident in the United States for a period of ten years, provided the person is to lose his citizenship unless he resides continuously in the United States for a period of five years between his fourteenth and twenty-eighth birthdays.

This is from the annotated constitution Under the natural born but not born on US territory exceptions. The way I see it, the relevant question is whether Sen. Obama has resided continuously in the U.S. for five years between the ages of 14 and 28. Unless visits overseas interrupt his continuous residency, he must be a natural US citizen.

I have researched this plenty.

Compare Schneider v. Rusk, 377 U.S. 163 (1964); Afroyim v. Rusk, 387 U.S. 253 (1967). It will be noted that in practically all cases persons statutorily made citizens at birth will be dual nationals, having the citizenship of the country where they were born. Congress has never required a citizen having dual nationality to elect at some point one and forsake the other but it has enacted several restrictive statutes limiting the actions of dual nationals which have occasioned much litigation. E.g., Savorgnan v. United States, 338 U.S. 491 (1950); Kawakita v. United States, 343 U.S. 717 (1952); Kennedy v. Mendoza-Martinez, 372 U.S. 144 (1963); Schneider v. Rusk, 377 U.S. 163 (1964); Rogers v. Bellei, 401 U.S. 815 (1971).

Excuse me for not blindly accepting what you say, but your reading seems to be inadequate.

The skeptical part of me says that the papers will show Obama was "born" in Hawaii. Everyone fighting this issue are being set up (or so goes the theory).

If you click the article it says that his mom could not fly back to the US because she was in the advanced stages of pregnancy and came back to the US shortly after the birth and registered him. This would explain things.

If this is the case his actual US birth certificate (not just a certified copy) will show that he was not born in a hospital but rather a home delivery.

I just don’t know but I am starting to smell smoke.

I cant give you an authoritative answer, I’m not a lawyer. My guess would be that the Secretary of State could file for a court order. I think the DNC and Obama would have a hard time arguing that the Secretary of State lacks standing, which is their position in the Berg case.

It doesn’t matter whether or not Indonesia recognized dual citizenship. What matters is that the United States does and did recognize dual citizenship.

Berg's argument is that Indonesia required her to renounce her US citizenship in order to become an Indonesian citizen, and that because Barack was a minor, his status followed hers.

I have no idea if he is accurate on this.

It is difficult for me to believe that Hannity is unaware of the Berg lawsuit. He has apparently made a decision not to discuss it. I have no idea why.

We need a 527 to make ads on the issue.

Washington state; and Canada have both been mentioned.

That makes four, but we already know Liberals can't do math.

But, if you count both hospitals in Hawaii that he was born purportedly in, then it becomes five.

Do I hear six? Five, going once...

My guess is that neither Obama nor his family has his original birth certificate — hence the COLB that looks like a computer-generated re-issue (and may in fact be a forgery). My wife was born in Hawaii in ‘61 and she still has her original BC.

I also don’t remember Pakistan having been on any “proscribed travel list”. Soviet Union, Cuba, North Korea — sure — but I don’t remember Pakistan being on any list.

You obviously don't remember the firestorm that was created when a Bush-1 State Dept. Employee went rummaging through files looking for details of William Jefferson Clinton's overseas travel to Communist Bloc Nations. If ANYBODY, even the Secretary of State herself, were to question the Messiah on this things would explode.
