“but then I figured it’s just bull crap so why bother.”

Know thy enemy.

Also, I find such articles very motivational, and I’m sure many other Freepers do as well... ;-)

This is why it's a good idea to use Search and use the correct title.

Well, I find them depressing. If Nobama wins, I may need serious anti-depressants.

Yep, I did search on the front-page headline, the other page was slow coming up. Ah well, not such a bad thing for it to run again.

The soma of modern America.

At any rate, let’s just make sure NObama stays a Senator. I think I’m going to donate some phonebank time. Oh yeah, and pay my NRA dues.

And as you pointed out at the other post:
Included were interviews with 373 people who initially said they were Democrats, 252 Republicans and 214 independents.

I was in my local gun shop yesterday afternoon

By chance, I was in my local gun shop yesterday afternoon, too, buying a Glock 26. This guy is a small operator and he was doing a brisk business. In fact, he was sold out of the Glock 26 and I had to order it. He said he'd been selling guns and ammo in the past 4 months unlike anytime in his 36 years in business.

I laughed at that today as well. I didn't even read the article just saw the headlines.
But unfortunatley, It may work on a few. I had dinner last night with a few friends and they were all upset about the polls and whining that Obama just might win. One friend said that she wasn't going to waste her time at the polls since he is already in. It might work on a few uninformed, but I believe most people are beyond pissed about the media so blatantly in the tank for the Messiah....

These media folks are McCain’s buddies. He must be longing for the days when he attacked Republicans and praised democrats and these media guys , his buddies, told us we need to nominate him, because he will pull over all the moderates, and democrats to his side. Guess what?? the media picked McCain because he was a loser. I guess if we have to have a candidate lose, McCain’s the best choice, very depressing.

LOL, did any of you bother to read this article? It's an Internet poll and the numbers are beyond stupid if you look at them closely.

Negative campaigning and a month of intense public focus on collapsing global economic and financial markets have not been kind to McCain. The new AP-Yahoo! News poll of likely voters, conducted this month by Knowledge Networks, shows more people viewing him favorably than unfavorably by just 5 percentage points, down from a 21-point difference in mid-September.

Notice they do not cite WHERE this alleged McCain 21 point + in past favorability number comes from? I have never seen these two candidates separated by more then 2-3 points.

"During the same period, Obama went the other way, increasing a 5-percentage-point net favorable rating to 15 points. Now, Obama is seen favorably by 57 Net difference in this "poll" is now 5 points, well within the margin of error. Then look at the demographics of this poll and get a good hoot while doing so:

"The AP-Yahoo! News poll included 841 likely voters was conducted from Oct. 3-13 and has an overall margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points. Included were interviews with 373 people who initially said they were Democrats, 252 Republicans and 214 independents, for whom the margins of sampling error are plus or minus 5.1, 6.2 and 6.7 percentage points, respectively.

" "The poll was conducted over the Internet by Knowledge Networks."

LOL, check out the sampling:

Republicans-29%

Democrats-44%

Ind.-27%

And take a look at the sampling error!! In a world of garbage polls this one would take the Nobel Prize if there were one in the category.

I bought a Taurus Millenium Pro in .45 ACP. It's no bigger than my hand and very sweet.

“I was in my local gun shop yesterday afternoon”

I was actually in my local gun shop on Saturday — I have been going back and fourth over whether or not I was ever going to buy a S&W .44 mag (I already have a sig P220, a Berretta 92F 9mm, Ruger SP100 .357 mag and several rifles and shotguns) but have been toying with idea of .44 mag snub nose for “personal protection.”

While I was in there I did manage to purchase 300 rounds of 9 mm, “just in case.”

And the store owner told me the very same thing...business is good.

Oh, and I am the proud owner of a S&W - Night Guard Series -
Model 329 .44 mag (and 100 rounds) and I’m here to tell you, that by God if the noise doesn’t scare you to death — well...you know…the high speed lead poising from a 240 gr JHP will...

No surprise. McCain’s popularity was propped up by the MSM when he was bashing the GOP. Now that he has become more of a Republican and leads the party, its time to destroy him just like any other Republican. If anything, this election should be a huge wake up call to McCain to realize how much he’s been used over the past decade or two, and how much of his “mainstream” popularity was artificial.

Amen! The media only liked him when he was attacking W.

These guys just make this up as they go along!

Welcome to the new age of "journalism". It's basically like being a Soviet propagandist, without all the messy gulags and such (but be patient, the gulags are coming if Obama, Pelosi, and Reid have anything to say about it...).

“Welcome to the new age of “journalism”.”

The new age of journalism — well, that is me and you and FR...I have stopped watching NBC, CBS, ABC, and CNN a long time ago.

If it ain’t on FOX News...It’s probably either;

A) To distorted to actually qualify as journalism (where someone “reported the news,” as opposed to spin the news to fit their views).

B) Blatantly outright fabricated.

Either way — as more and more “real American’s,” wake up to the fact that news reporting is dead...so will go the ratings of the phony news — left leaning newspapers are dying left and right all over this country because they chose the wrong path...
