The leader of the national anti-Obama movement, legendary Chicago Internet columnist and Obama author Andy Martin, will hold a Honolulu news conference today, October 20, 2008 to announce he has asked the Hawai’i Supreme Court to entertain an emergency writ expediting the release of Senator Barack Obama’s secret birth records.
A copy of the Petition will be posted on Martin’s blogs later today after it is docketed by the Supreme Court. The Hawai’i Supreme Court petition supplements and expands on a lawsuit filed Friday, October 18th in the Circuit Court of Hawai’i.
Martin is due back in New York on Friday, October 24th for network television interviews.

It should be easy to spot Secret Service. I do not for ONE MOMENT BELIEVE that he is there for anything other than nefarious birth certificate stuff.

My presumption based on the fact that the court will say that this individual has no standing... and the fact that the court system will do whatever it deems necessary to protect the Messiah.
Doctor released my dad for the express purpose of going home to die a dignified death in the familiar surroundings of home. He died within 24 hours of being released.
If we had a real media, they would confirm whether or not his grandmother is really ill and if not, what is he really doing in Hawaii.

I am sure his grandmother is ill but I am also sure there is more going on here then is being reported.

Granny could be terminally ill and getting worse. Most hospitals prefer not to keep terminal patients there and recommend hospice. Home hospice would work best here since clearly The One would not want granny in a “home” where others would have access.
Regardless, if this is so important the nature of the illness should have been revealed. What’s the big secret; the woman is 86 years old. People wish her well but question the truthfulness of the entire situation given what we know about how The One has conducted himself over time and in this campaign.
What’s so suspicious is The One’s changing big rally plans to head to Hawaii just now, when that Berg guy is prowling around. I never gave this birth certificate story much credibility but now......hmmm......I am rethinking the entire matter. Anyone think Hillary knows anything?

I just read on Wiki regarding Andy Martin...he has a significant history to say the least. He did file a lawsuit, but the only one who can open his records is next of kin....ummm GRANDMA!!!! I dont know if this could go to a higher court. it should because he is running for President...but i doubt it...visiting Grandma is very suspicious!!!!

I don't know what the truth is, but I would rather rely on the sifting that a story gets on FR, than on whether the legacy media reports it.
If a story is not reported by the legacy media that does not necessarily mean there is no story. More often than not, it means that the legacy media does not want you to know about it.
If there are birth certificates somewhere or other interesting documents, they could well be in a safe deposit box in a bank. Someone needs to get that key and get into the box!
We don’t have any idea whose name(s) appear on any trusts, wills, powers of attorney that granny may have, or where papers are.

it is true that hospitals release folks to die dignified deaths all the time — but is more common for widows and people of means to be released to hospices. There are a number of very good hospices in Honolulu... the town has a LOT of retirees and a pretty high median age... if she was sent “home” — i think it is because doctors thought she was out of danger... think about it... would you take a risk discharging this VERY SPECIAL patient early? would make for very bad publicity...

Due to his international travels from the time he was a baby, presumably Obama has held a passport since childhood (whether or not he was natural born in Hawaii). One needs only to renew a passport before it expires, once you’ve been issued one.
So, Obama’s passport is no proof he was born in Hawaii—or that he has a birth certificate from there.

I was too late as well. I got the call that my Dad was near death when I got home from work one August evening in 1989. Got to the airport, then to Little Rock, then got stuck in New Mexico until morning. Arrived in Arizona many hours after he was gone.

Why not back when he visited grandama a couple months ago? I speculate that the pressure cooker about the birth certificate and Barry’s history was not as pressing of an issue back then.

I’m wondering why folks think his original birth certificate is in his grandma’s apartment rather that in his own personal possession.
She may be the only living witness that was there at the time.
FTR, my own comments were not about a birth certificate. There are many other things that can appear on paper besides that (letters, etc.).
